[Sticky] My gummy recipe

3 or 4 packs of 12gr unflavoured gelatin
 
2 packs of flavoured jelly (depending on size) 150g

0.5g soy lecithin.... ( very important ingredient, its an emulsifier - without it your infusion will separate from the gummy mix)

0.4 potassium sorbate(mould inhibitor) 

Dash of honey 

400ml of water

Coconut oil

Mason jar

Cooking pot

3.5 g of cannabis extract ( I used 73u bubble hash)  

Coffee fillers or clean empty tea bags

Silicone spatula (optional but very useful)

Silicone gummy moulds 

Parchment paper

5ml plastic syringe (can be found in childrens calpol/ cough medicine bottles)

Bottle of flavouring in the event they don't taste like you expect (I had strawberry but didn't use it) 

First off we want to activate our extract, I used my oven.

Gask mark 1 for 20 minutes, this won't fully decarb you extract but we'll finish it off in the coconut oil.
After 20 minutes take your extract let it cool at room temp for a beat, then put it in the freezer.

Now it will be ready for the coconut oil, grab your pot fill with enough water to just cover the bottom of the jar about 2 fingers from the bottom, remember to keep the jar off the bottom of the pot, use a small folded tea towel.
Or you can use a double boiler if you prefer.

Take a scope of coconut oil and put it in the microwave for 10 second bursts to make it into a liquid, now measure out approximately 30ml of coconut oil.

Put your 30ml of coconut oil into the jar and om your extract.

Bring the water to a soft boil, stirring our extract.

Now once we get the oil up to temperature you'll notice small bubbling/fizzing.
That's the carbon leaving the THCA chain, giving us orally active THC.
Observe until the bubbling stops, now we have fully decarbed our extract and infused our oil, this takes about 15 minutes.

Now in my case I used 73u bubble hash, which requires us to now filter out the tricome heads and plant materials, so that's where the coffee filters/tea bags come in.
Use the plastic syringe to suck up your oil and purge in through your filters into your jar lid.

If you have rosin or something similar you can skip this step but I'd still do it personally.

Now it's gummy time.

Take your packs of flavoured jelly and add a little under 400ml of boiled water and stir until dissolved.

add our unflavoured gelatin... Stir again

Add soy lecithin

Add potassium sorbate

Add honey

Stirr until dissolved, a hand held food processor helps a lot here but will give you an opaque gummy because of the air mixed in.

If you want clear gummys then you can let it set and then melt it down again. (I didn't bother)

Now it's my advice that you take a few samples of your gummy mix before adding our infused oil to make sure they are the right consistency and flavour before we commit to adding our infusion.

Put say 3 virgin gummys into your mould, add to freezer for a couple minutes.

if your not happy add a bit more flavour via your bottle of flavouring but you shouldn't need it. 

More of either gelatin if there not the consistency you want.

Once you have desired taste/consistency add your mix to the microwave to warm it up again.

Add infusion and sir with our spatula until fully incorporated.

Take your plastic syringe and fill your moulds.

Put in fridge for a hour.

Take out, then let dry for a couple of hours.

I like to dust mine with a touch of corn flour, hepls keep them from sticking together in your pocket.

Store in a cool/dry place out of sunlight.

I worked on the assumption that my bubble hash was 55%THC.

55% per 1 gram would be 550mg of THC( I think)

So 3.5 would be 1,925mg ÷ by 500ml of gummy mix is 3.89mg per 1ml of gummy mix.
..... I think anyway.
