I've just started using it , you have to be very careful when adjusting the PH I put 1ml of PH down in 25lts of water and the PH went from 7.8 to 3.5 so had to pour it away and start again

Is a good idea to dilute the Ph up/down to avoid this 😉

WHEN I used it, lol..I would make a small batch up that would drop 1 point per 25ltrs

yes @dobbin, your RO water will react quickly to small amounts of change. So yeah a little bit of Up or DOWN goes a long way. I mix up 19L and almost 100L constantly, the 19 I will add 1-3 drops and check. the 90L I'll add 2ml pipette to it.

If you don't have a pipette, get some. Best way to measure up or down. 

Measuring the PH in RO water can also be difficult. It may take longer for your meter to stabilize and deliver a good reading. Cause there's nothing there to measure. So just let it do it's thing till it stops. Sometimes I will put a couple of ML's of cal/mag or a drop or so of UP or DOWN just to help stabilize water, so I can get a reading. But with mine, I now know that mine comes out at PH 5.86, and I definitely check from time to time. And I don't know how long an RO filter, it's self last. I do have a water softener too cause I'm on a well and it's suppose to be easier to clean the sodium from the water than the minerals.

@woodi2 thanks for the info my filters are supposed to last 6 months but that will depend on how much water you filter I would have thought, I think that when the EC reading start's to go up it's time for a change
