Hi all hope everyone's having a good day I'm wiring in a fan and I'm pretty competent and happy to do so with no problems but I would like to know what the extra red wire is on the chocolate block / wire connector these are not my pictures but I found these on the internet and they are the same

@weekendtokerThat looks like the way my fan is wired. On mine i can move a wire from one terminal to the other and change the fan speed from high to low

@weekendtoker My lights are off for about 6 more hours but i think the diagram was right inside the cover or close ill look to see if i have it on paper our fans may be different though

@weekendtoker not sure. mine is labeled for different speeds ill try to get a pic of mine and see how it compares yours may not be the same
