Let's start a chat about Solar and how we can use it in our grow rooms or not. People are using it and others can to with a little help, just like growing. I know this is a grow web site so I don't what to change any of that but help expand our knowledge of what's available. Just have a look at what some people are doing with it and how it's working for them.
I need solar, the damn electric company is hounding the hell out of me! And my grow is Fing small !!! But I know there's different ways to do it and different situations, so just a chat. 
Apart from the obvious ecological soundness of using solar generated power, there is a nice symbiosis of capturing the sun and feeding it on to grow weed 
Am currently doing this with a battery and it works extremely well.
Lights off at night saves battery power and solar recharges the battery and runs everything during the day with lights on.
Also grow in a shed so have had to deal with alot of issues.
Weed makes me feel like someone has just put a warm blanket over my brain.
A fully solar powered indoor grow would be expensive to set up, storage cells you would need would be a fairly huge size and are crazy expensive.
You could set up solar panels and small storage for your fans and what not for a reasonable price though I reckon.

@discobiscuitt, thanks man. Yeah it's not cheap that for sure. I think we are going to need this info sooner or later. I'd just like to talk with some people that are using solar and see what's up with it. I live in the states where a lot of people just plug shit in the wall and never think about where or how we get electric. Nothings free these days so if I can figure out how to DIY, I can hopefully save a few $$. Plus it may take a little $ to save a little $. Thanks and take care. 😉
@nungagg, so there's one of the big questions is batteries. Wet cell or Lithium? Wet is suppose to be cheaper and may last a little longer, maybe not for sure. Lithium are the cat's ass but are much more expensive and that's about their only down side I think. Unless you want to talk about the environmental impact they have on the production of those batteries. Yeah that's not good either.
So what type of system do you have and how does it work? I'm beyond Green on this subject, so please be patient, I'm trying here. 😀 Thank you for all your help.
