Hi peeps. Ok I might have a touch of OCD but noticing how dirty my propagator gets from misting from what is probably chalk in the water and wondered how bad if at all for my plant leaves it is? Is there an alternative water I could use?
Hi peeps. Ok I might have a touch of OCD but noticing how dirty my propagator gets from misting from what is probably chalk in the water and wondered how bad if at all for my plant leaves it is? Is there an alternative water I could use?
Its probably from dissolved salts, what are you adding to the water you are misting with?

Tap water usually has some background slats in them mate, they will be left behind when the water evaporates. Unless it smells mouldy, you should be ok

Not necessary mate, better to feed through the roots. If you have a deficiency then foliar feed can help fix the problem quicker, but really the roots are the best way for the plant to get nutrients. I only spray some epsom salts a week or so before flower to prevent clag mag problems, other than that, i don't foliar feed at all

If you use foliage spray remember to just mist. You don’t want run off.
Tap water from your house sucks. Tap water contains chlorine’s to help keep the pipes clean and can have an neg effect on beneficial bio and bacteria. Plus if it’s hard water you got lots of iron and other shit that is bad when it oxidizes and rusts. But yeah easy said than done
Collect rain water if you can as it’s perfect.
It is better to keep one’s mouth shut and let everyone think You’re a fool than to open it and prove them all right
I don’t think I’ll be foliage feeding, but your right about tap water, I’m looking at filters just to drink it!! But thanks fukentokin, hoping to pick up a cheap water container for rain water at some point ??
