Hello people. Hope you are well. Can anyone recommend a silent inline duct fan for a 4x4x8 tent. I'm looking at the ac infinity cloudline series with humidity and temperature control. I have done a bit of research and I'm thinking of building a sound proof box out of a light wood that I can hang around my duct fan. I also will get a larger size than needed for my tent, so I don't have to have it blasting at 100%, I can run it at half it's revs/speed. Am doing a stealth grow, have kids, who are 12 and younger, and we have unexpected guests drop in. I've built a fake wall in my storage room where my set up is going to be to hide the tent, and I want to get the fan as quite as possible. Much love and thanks in advance.
AC Infinity is good, I have the 6 inch S-line in a 2x4x6ft tent and just run it on speed setting 2, you would hardly hear it, you can get silencers for them as well that sits on the outlet, they don't cost much, looks like a smaller version of a carbon filter, have a look at the AC Infinity website.
For your size tent maybe get the 8 inch T line, my S line doesn't have humidity/temperature control.

Great read on how to calculate a fan and I have a T6....the best thing is it comes on too at a preset temp or humidity that you set. Mine is very quiet but maybe an 8 inch may be better but I think a 6 would be good for you but an 8 inch at a lower setting MAY be quieter and more efficient. But totally AC infinity for the win IMO I think here

These are not noiseless, very few things are, but my daughter in law walked right past one and just thought it was a “normal” noise. While they can be heard, the sound they make is easily explained as normal ventilation.
