Feeding in flower
Hey guys just joined the site and already learning things, I’m currently growing 2 kosher kush plants in coco in 3gal fabric pots, there growing in a shed got room dialled in humidity’s between 60 to 40% Rh and 26c - 16c temps, been feeding a mix of canna coco a+b at 5ml each and 2ml canna Cal-mag in 2Litre bottles and separate 5ml canna Cal-mag on its own in a 2Litre bottle through veg now I’m 11days in to flowering stage, I’ve gone up to 8ml each of a+b and down to 2ml of Cal- Mag. Got told yesterday that is too high and to post on here for help, hope I gave enough details please ask anything. Thanks peeps
yes mate very high, do you have some pics of the girls under natural light? We can get a good idea of how she looks then but i think for sure she is over feed, she will need a flush and refed and lower EC if that is the case, but lets see how she is before changing anything
thanks for your reply mate,il get a pic up in a min
There’s a few pics posted, the one of the leaf got a hole or burn? There’s a few leafs like that with the odd hole in the middle or burn on the edge is that from bugs or nute burn I’m thinking ?
There is a blue tint to her, ( the big one) which tell me she is getting too much Potassium. Maybe she is a little cold too. But mate, she is gorgeous, amazing training job!!
Looks like something is having a munch too. You gotta check under the leaves and see if you can see any signs of bugs.
Are you measuring the EC of the feed?
Next time you feed her, measure the EC of the water before you feed. Write it down, then feed the plant until you get run off, collect the run off as its coming out of the bottom of the pots, and test that. If it is higher coming out, then it is going in, she is over fed, and we will know by how much.
Thanks mate didn’t want to train her until I started now I can’t stop lol.
And yea something’s deffo having a go at it, I’ve sprayed neem a couple times don’t know if I was even doing that right.
And don't have an EC pen just a PH.
It's a tough one, removing too much food too quickly might shock her, and she doesn't look massively over fed. Reduce the feed for a few days to 3 ml per 2l of the a n b, and half the amount of cal mag. This will bring some of the nuits out of her slowly.
She should start to pick up after that. Too much food can cause salt build up, and the plant can stop eating. But changing the salt content of the medium to quick will leech the nutrients out of the plant and caused deficiency lol
So, flush the plant with just water, 20L of it should do, pH'ed at 5.8, that will get rid of all the old salts.
Then feed the plant with the same amount of water you usually use, but this time, 3ml per litre of A n B, and 0.5 ml per litre of the cal mag. This should balance things out a little.
An EC meter really helps in situations like this, itll be good to invest in one when you can mate
ok mate will get on it as soon as, and going to try sort the ec meter next week. What should I do with the 8ml mix I’ve got left? Pour it out ? It’s only 2 bottles.
thanks for the help bud.
add one bottle of just water and it should balance out the feed to where you want it at 😉 so them 2 bottles of mix, plus, on bottle of just water, mixthem, ph it, and you're good to go
Flush with just water first thought to get rid of the old stuff
