Questions Female flower primordia?

The images below are structures that have appeared over the past two days. They appear to be flower primordia, and are not differentiated enough to easily tell whether they are male or female.

 

These are part of a microgrow project meant to rush some plants to flower in an effort to produce some crosses (i.e. not growing for weight). All of the plants that have these apparent apical primordial lack any axial growth beyond two rudimentary leaflets at each axis. The plants with axial branches (same age) do not have these apical buds.

 

Any thoughts?
