All,
If the goal of a grow is to produce seeds for a breeding program (i.e. the flower yield is not important), and someone is very short on time, what are some methods for accelerating flowering and maturation in photo-period plants?
For context, I have in mind plants that are in coco (using 3mL / 4L coco A&B + seaweed + calmag), about 40 days old (since germination), have 5 nodes, and are in 4" pots. Other details: switched from 16:8 to 12:12 on day 30, changed ~ 1/3 of the lights (LED) from full spectrum to red-shift ("flowering spectrum"). Some have 1-2cm secondary branches currently, others still only have axial primordia. Temps are 24/21C day/night, RH is 52/65 day removed link
Training: Topping? Nothing?
Lights: Keep at 12:12? Drop to 10:14?
Feeding: Increase, decrease, discontinue?
Other thoughts?
Thanks heaps!
dr.jb
Decrease light.
Decrease temp.
Decrease water.
That's all I got. good luck. 👍
