hi guys just seeking some advice here about extractors an filters, as you know Im new to all this, so yeah for the time being Im doing 1 plant 4gl in room 2x6x8 so if to say if i had just small house fan moving the air about from seedling, when would it be that I would need to intall extractor an filter, its just that I know how important the ph is in DWC, so was thinking about deffo getting a bluelab meter as my cheap 1 dropped into water, so thats made my mind up, but I was just wondering if i can then use the money for fan etc to get bluelab as ext fan not needed for 3 or 4 wks
I budgeted in for the ex fan just not the blue lab, so what I was thinking was to use this to get a bluelab, so whats your advice peeps when will I need that ext fan in there wk 2 wk7? just that you guys all said to get one and you all said how important this is the PH THANKS GUYS/GIRLS
You could go four weeks as the plant is vegging without extractor mate but you stand the chance of the smell getting out. The air needs to be pulled through a carbon filter really. 4 weeks is about as far as I would go without extraction as they start to smell after that really....Maybe open a side vent, and make sure the fan is blowing at that in a way to force the air out, that will cycle the air a bit so it doesn't go too stale but still, the smell makes it risky. Carbon filter is important, cover the smell is a big rule, even small plants in veg can be pungent, but you gotta do what you gotta do. pH meter first, then go for extractor and filter

@macky thanks buddy that sounds about managable so I will get my blue lab next and extractor abit later dwn the line, so what i will do is place my fan in the corner blowing towards exit point till i get an extractor an filter put up, so whats the time frame from lets say soaking seed to start off to the point were plants is about 6/7 inches 3/4 wks just trying to get a plan in place so I know im were the plant should be at that age, but i guess I can just upload a pic on here?, just eager to get going but things are on hold now till I get one sent out but just going to get 2 cheap ones off amazon for now, then get bluelab in 2wks it will be about a wk after I finally get going, cant believe i dropped it in the water, esp cos Ive got all excited waiting for the seeds to get here, now I have to wait a while longer, as i dont wanna jump before I can walk lol as dont wanna risk it, MESSING IT UP so would your advise to be! wait for ph meter to get before doing any thing else
Regarding the bluelab and what it comes with, also get the 2 testing solutions I think they are PH4 and PH7 so you can adjust it with accuracy. Get a bottle of storage solution for the probe too. Don't store it anything else and keep it wet
