Just curious what people's experience with germination times is like. Like, how long do you wait to decide the seed is a dud? I got a bit antsy and attempted to help my seeds crack, with so far mixed results. I usually soak mine for at least 12 hrs prior to dumping them in the paper towel and typically have taproots within a day, usually no more than two. Then again, the seeds I've used in the past may have been 'fresher' than these ones from NGS.. who knows. Anyways, thoughts?

Normally for me it’s 24-48hr for tap roots. I have some Jack herer seeds from advanced seeds I tried to run on my last grow, tried twice to pop two different seeds with no luck. I have two left to try. But you don’t know how they were stored and how long for just the luck of the draw  sometimes.

I would say, ib be concerned if there was not tap root after 2 days, but i got straight into the medium nowadays, so four days, if i don't see a shoot, i start to get concerned, 6 days, no shoot? Im starting again

My germination rate is good, and its rare a seed doesn't pop TBF, I just soak the beans for a few hours, then go straight into coco, within a few days we have a shoot.

Alright, that's seems about right. Thanks for the confirmations guys. I'll wait a bit longer and pitch em if nothing happens soon.

I`ve been soaking them in distilled water for 24 hours, if the seed doesn`t sink I give it another 24hours. Then into soil.  Most vegetable/flower seeds required 10 days so after 10 days I start digging around and end up starting over after that if nothing shows.

I'm all right, Jack, keep your hands off of my stack.
