Hi all new here been looking through the forum which has helped me loads. I'm starting my first grow and looking for information, I seen a thread off a while ago about which company is best for grow tents and I've looked through them all but non have a loft/attic tent available, the only ones I can find are cheap ebay tents and was wondering if these would be up to it with no light leaks etc. Also does anyone no a good go to website for equipment fans ducting etc ? Thanks

Hi Buster. Growing in a loft / attic is not easy. The main thing you're going to need is good insulation. It is better to build a room in the loft, and insulate it properly, rather than using a grow tent on its own. Summer is coming, and the loft can get very hot when it is being hit by the sun all day. Without insulation, the plants will get cooked.

I am sure gorilla grow tents do one for lofts, but they are pricey too. We have a few guys growing in lofts here, maybe they can offer some insight Smile

@macky thanks for the quick reply I forgot to mention the loft is already boarded and insulated etc basically just another room temperature doesn't seem to fluctuate that much so that should be ok I'm hoping anyways, also has a radiator too so should be all good with temps

@macky would get a 2.0m tent in their but most loft ones I've seen are only 1.8 but I think that should be enough anyways shouldn't it ?

@buster2704 hi mate

Agree with Macky spot on as ever 👌

I’m a loft grower too.. fully insulated

I used roof cubes before which are decent but zips can be an issue if used roughly lol

have a search for roof cubes on line .. they can be ordered from several grow shops too. They have a shoulder height of 1.5m and roof height is 1.8m so not a lot of room to work with. They come in 1.2m x 1.2m and 1.2 x 2.4m by those heights.
I used to use the 1.2 x 1.2 but now done away with it as my insulation (with led lighting) is sufficient and just use the old frame to hang lights, Mylar on the walls around the sides and works for me well

good luck with setting it all up and happy growing

Time to pop some more beans 😗

@buster2704

roof cubes are decent , had mine years, but I did eventually break the zip after maybe 5 years. They are pretty robust generally and good vent selections etc

I’m guessing they ain’t cheap these days lol

good luck bro

@chillbert cool thanks mate and the 1.2 x 1.2 is £180 but the cheap ebay one was 120 so its not that much more for better quality really

@buster2704 I've got one mate to me its top quality but I can't compare it to anything as it's my first tent

Genesis 1:29-God said, “Look, I have given you all the plants that have grain for seeds and all the trees whose fruits have seeds in them. They will be food for you.
