HI.
I have a Green Crack auto which is in fairly early flower and has lived its life totally outside so far.
I have now got a light for some other plants and I'm wondering should i bring my auto in at night so it gets the sun during the day and HPS overnight, or just leave it outside in the decreasing UK light. My mate seems to think giving it circa 24 hours of light now may affect it badly, but he's purely a photo man. zero experience on autos. I thought autos just loved as much sun as possible at any time of life?
Advice would be grande

Welcome to Percy’s @norman-nebosh. Recently I moved an auto that was halfway through flower from a 12/12 light cycle to a 20/4 light cycle and it did well. She’s bulking up and is almost ready for harvest with no hermie or anything else bad. While I wasn’t sure about the maneuver, it went fine for us. Hopefully yours will too
I like to give my autos a little dark time so I don’t typically run 24/0 light cycles. The dark time seems to be very beneficial to the plants. Most around here run their autos on either 18/6 or 20/4 cycles.

I'm gonna leave her outside during the day then top her up with the HPS for a few hours once the sun goes down. Not sure exactly but probably 18/6 which kinda fits the rest of my life schedule at the moment as I'll have to get her and a couple of others in/out of the shed each day.
