Can you explain how you stored them mate?

Some beans will take a while, especially if they're old. If seeds get old and take a while to pop, you can scuff them a little with some sand paper and this can give them a push if you think its necessary. 

in a bag in a jar, desiccant pack cool dark place, properly. i have squeezed and cracked the seeds as well. Sandpaper imho is not feasible. I am just wondering the life expectancy of cannabis seeds as i am not familiar with it.

@gixxerific 10 years plus if stored properly. Usually in a fridge in a light proof container. Whats your germination method, maybe thats the issue?

10 years sounds about right, thanks. I would assume 5 min and that would be stored not so properly. it was not my germination method. same way i have been doing for 30 years or better. BTW it was a 24 soak than to paper towels than to soil, all done properly.

this place i got the seeds from will not be getting my money again too many problems in the past with poor germination and pheno's all over the place, serious stability issues.

Really does depend on how you store them, I remember reading an article somewhere that outlines a rough viability over time of storage but they also store seeds for decades in the doomsday vault in permafrost so I think it does really just depend on the way you store them. 

In saying that I have had seeds I found in a pocket of a jacket I hadn't worn in 5 years and theu were real vigorous growers so hit and miss in my experience. My good seeds I store in the fridge with desiccant packs in the box just in case. 

I found seeds in the bottom part of one of my old grinders, they must have been there for a good 10+ years and they popped no probs, Iv tried 2 so far and they both worked, and there was certainly no fancy storage with them because I never knew the seeds were there and the grinder sat in an old damp outhouse/shed for years after I moved house, I just found them last year. Since I started growing iv only had one seed that didnt pop and it was from a new packet of seeds that I bought.lol

So if that was anything to go by I would put it down to dodgy seeds rather than storage or age but as you know things are never that straight forward in weed world.lol I use the same germ method too, 12-24hrs in water (untill the seed sinks), paper towel untill tail grows then in the pot she goes 🙂 

@gixxerific just popped one from one of the first pack of seeds i ever bought that's about 6 years old 

You could always check out this bean enzyme trick to germinate old seeds. Not tried it myself but heard good things.

I have seeds done in pollinations from 1995 til 2001 stored since then in the fridge in film containers with desiccant.  From the ones I have passed to friends some are 30% some are closer to 80 %
