@misher21 No thats nothing to be worried about, I think most of the plants iv grown so far have ended up with purple coloured stems on the leaves,  I wonder if it's maybe stress related but im not really sure, but it's not really anything to worry about as far as iv seen.

I see theres some water on your leaves, it's best if you can try and keep water drops off the leaves because it can burn the leaves with the light shining on it, a bit like holding a magnifying glass in the sun. 🙂

Nothing to worry about some times it can be stress related sometimes it's just the genetics of the plant it's not serious though

Hey @Misher21, yeah the red/purple stems aren't a problem. I find that mine do that when their young and I turn the light up. It's sun burn to them. Sometimes it genetics, but I've found mainly it's from the grow light. No worries.

There are quite a few reasons this can happen, usually its either genetics or nutrient uptake, light stress can have an effect on the stem color but usually its a case of the genetics or nutrient uptake. I have had plenty of plants do this and they are always fine. As long as your light is at recommended height and you are feeding within the correct ph and ec range then they will be absolutely fine. Just keep everything as consistent as you can and enjoy the colors.

I feel like a, like a slice of butter... melting on top of a big-ol' pile of flapjacks... yeah.

@misher21. as everyone has said, no worries. It's ok. The stems turn red/purple because of the light, but quick get use to it. Just like we do when we're out in the sun. It's good to be aware of these things and keep an eye on them. Your leaves will react quicker than the stems, so their will give you a better idea of what's up with your plant than anything. You can also see that the red stems are usually just at the top of the plant. If they were red stemmed from head to toe, then you might have something!! 😀

So how much are you learning on this grow??

 Has it been fun?

How much more confidence do you think you'll have on your next grow?  (poor little things will be raised by Wolves 🤣)

Glad your here, and I love the questions. Not only do they help you but they also help the folks that were just about to ask the same question but were afraid to ask. So thanks and keep the questions coming. 👍

P.S My plants look like shit at the moment, they don't always look great 24/7. 😉
