How's it going everyone, hope you all are having a wonderful day. So, I didn't join a grow room forum until very recently. Main reason being that people suck. No matter what community, people usually suck, and suck real bad. The world is just full of assholes that get off on bringing others down to their miserable level.
I started and been apart of discords and Facebook pages that I wanted people to go to to have a place to ask basic questions without getting reamed out for just trying to educate themselves and not feel intimidated to ask the really basic questions without fear of the reaction of the members. Without fail, every fuckin time, it got to big, when the member numbers would just get to high, it was just to much to control and I bailed. ON EVERY. FUCKIN. GROUP. didn't matter the platform. Which blew my mind.
To this day I can't figure out why even the cannabis community is full of ignorant pricks. I am newer to Percy's. I've listened to High On HOMEGROWN for a long time now and I was curious about Percy's after hearing about it from the podcast so I hesitantly joined. Just figured here's another one I'm gonna just bail on bc I just don't want to surround myself with negative assholes bc they always come no matter and unfortunately the people who stick up to these assholes are in the minority and people find it easier to just hop on the judgment train and continue to bash instead of sticking up for the person. it's sad.
My experience of Percy's has been everything but what I just mentioned above. The members here are really kind, just want to help, give each other helpful advice, and there's people here that will reach out when they see ya having a hard time and see if youre ok or if ya need a helping hand. That's community. This is community. This is a cannabis growing forum i can be proud to call myself a member of. I decided to have a little experiment. I was gonna join 3 other big cannabis forums and ask basic questions, really basic questions, put myself out there as a new grower, new to the community, and looking for help, made a few posts. Literally ALL 3, ALL 3, within 2-3 days I had someone say some smart shit and others just hop on the negative/borderline bully train and it's just sad. Bashing me for SIMPLY NOT KNOWING AND LOOKING FOR HELP!!!
Before the internet got really really big when I was younger, I had this idea. This very very naive idea. That if everyone just smoked pot we'd all get along. Or if I just dosed everyone with LSD or mushrooms we'd all be oh so happy and there'd be no issues and blah blah blah. That is so far from correct it's sad. And it shouldn't be, but it is. I realized, if your just not a good person, it doesn't matter if you smoke pot or take substances that are SUPPOSED to make you feel like one with the world. If you have an ego that you let tell yourself that you are above others, youre just always going to be talking down to someone instead of talking WITH someone.
I have been a member here at Percy's for just under a monthish? At this point? I think? I HAVE YET, to have a negative experience with ANY member of this forum. I am blown away by how drawn I come to be to this place with each and every passing day. Has been NOTHING but GREAT experience from people just trying to add a little sound advice to a grow I need help with to I'm struggling and stressing tf out and someone just tells me I'll get through it tomorrow is gonna be a new day.
Idk what kind of post this is, an appreciation post? A post to new members on why this place is FAR SUPERIOR to any other cannabis community I've been a part of? I just wanted you all to know, admins and members what my experience has been like and how and why this forum reigns supreme and I am truly truly grateful for the energy EVERY MEMBER puts into this place bc it's not just the admin, not just the members, it's everyone has a whole. Like I said in the post that Macky posted about needing help with the website, TEAM WORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK baby and this is one hell of a team..... This isn't meant to be some sappy sap shit post either btw lol I just wanted to say YOU ALL ARE FUCKIN AWESOME, and I'm happy to be here. Glad this place exists, and it truly is one of a kind. 🤙🤙🤙

I am very happy to see you enjoy it here, and that we are different from other places. Like you said, too many people out there with egos who just want to show off their skills, rather than wanting to help more people fall in love with this amazing plant.
Percys is different because of its members, and the attitude we all have. Nobody ever wants a sick plant, no one does it on purpose. And to put them down for it is a dick move, and a bannable offence here! We offer support, guidenece, and a sense of community that you don't find anywhere else. Because here, we are all equally Percys Growers!

Another good thing about having so many cool people all gathered together under the same roof is if an arse hole does wander in here they're going to stick out a mile away so they're easy to spot and remove , then Percys can continue churning out smiles.lol 😉
