what's everyone's take on flower hours?

I know the traditional is 12 on and 12 off for flower but I used different light schedules depending on the circumstances.

I would use the bare minimum of light in my veg room to stop the onset of flower. This could be really tricky with both Indicas and Sativas as some of them want to turn to flower.When I started I did the traditional 18/6  but it fucked me up when I planted my cloned Sativas  and indicas outside because they would initiate the flowering process within a few weeks and I wanted them to keep growing. I then started tapering the hours down in the veg room over many weeks till I could get that to the point where everything in the room would stay in veg and I would have decent growth. To save power on the household bill was a big thing because that's what got you busted

On flower times I had decent amount of HPS and MH back in the day in my room. I ended up dialing it back an hour to 11 and really didn't notice any difference in quality. I used to grow mostly sativa dominate strains though.

I think it's a good thing now if we save a little bit of burning energy 

The Gaslight method is another veg regime used by the Dutch in their flower farms. 12 on 5.5 off 1on 5.5 off.

I tried this and it works well but some Indica plants will flower under this. I went 1.5 hrs and this fixed that problem
