Just noticed this little yellow things sticking out of my buds this morning on one of my Haze landrace strains. Mostly on the smaller one my #2 Haze. #1 is almost two weeks ahead of it in overall time, but both started flowering 48/53 days ago and should only have 12 to 7 days to be at 60 day's of flower, though the strain is noted to go until 70 days.

I've never known a plant to Hermie this late in flower. What the heck can I do. OR is it something else.

Pin ch off the nanas mate at try to reduce the spread of the pollen as you do it.

Take a plastic bag over your hand, pinch the nanan off, and the wrap it straight way to reduce it blowing off in the wind. Turn fans off, and even spray it with water first. This will all help reduce the spread.

But you may be too late man. Any sing of seeds in the buds or calyxes?

@macky no I haven't seen any signs of seeds. I check on them a couple times a day, usually. Last couple days it's just been a quick look and really noticed these this morning. I've been busier than hell. Haven't had time for much of anything. There both showing some amber within the tricombs. But I don't even know if they're at 10% yet. Hard to tell with my small loupe. I ordered a digital microscope. But the app it did work with the app just kept shutting down. tried using it on my computer and it won't do it either so they're supposed to refund my money on it. I just wanted these to get as strong as I could because they're only a 17% on the THC. And I have a high tolerance to everything. So you think I should try spraying those areas down and removing them, but I always thought spraying your plant why your lights are on is a bad thing.. Or do you think I should just go ahead and pull them. And clean the room down. I still got a lot going on so I'm really like in a dilemma which way to go.

Bad luck man. Fans off and mist them heavily and don’t forget the tent walls etc. anywhere pollen can hide.

What are calyxes? And bud rot or mold was what I was worried about.

Calyxes are the individual pods on the flower that can produce seeds. Each pistil is attached to one calyx and each calyx can make one seed

Well then I guess I'm pulling them. Because at each node there's been the Calyxes have been there for a while. But just thought it was normal. Cause they still had long pistils from each one. And never saw any nanners poking out. Watched each one and check them every day since I first seen them.  They are the free seeds I got from Grower's Choice with a mail order of Autoflowers. Supposed to be feminized. So don't know if it was something I did? or Hermie already within the strain.. wish I knew. Now gotta prepare better for the next two cause they're Cindy 99's.. and don't want this to happen to them.. really bums me out. But whatyado. Keep moving forward. Thanks fellas. Hopefully it'll slow up soon and I can start being back in more often as I was every day for a while.

Hey, just FYI, the seeds grow inside a bract (not the calyx, per se). The red arrow is pointing to a bract that has a seed inside, and the green arrows are the same, but you can actually see the seeds poking out. Check out the pics from Jorge Cervantes' Marijuana Encyclopedia (pg 510). Not that I am a botanical purist but, ?.

If a plant is going to hermi, it can show can show anytime if stressed, especially you have shit genetics, but also can happen near the end of flowering. I had a few little bananas pop up on my ladies last grow in very late flower - not as many as it looks like you have there but, I have no issues with seeds...

If it was me, and I had no other plants in there to potentially get pollinated, I would probably let them go for the remaining week or whatever it is, and then harvest. Seeds take a long ass time to form and mature (6-8 weeks from initial pollination, in my experience). But if there are other females there, then yeah, I'd move them out asap.

@templegrower really appreciate the help from you, Macky and Monkeydo. OR I probably would of been at a loss. Not having any clue they could Hermie that late in flower. It was my smaller one that split where I topped on the 3rd node. But used tape and a zip tie and it grew just fine. And don't think I had a light leak. I've stood in the dark and there many times especially up until they started flowering real good when I was spraying some green clean treatment. But I did end up having to take it out of the room. Because my larger Haze was doing much better and I didn't want it to effect it. I started trying to pull out all those little nanners and don't know if I got them all. But I went ahead and chopped it it's been hanging out for 5 days. And my larger one left in the room seems to be doing just fine I see no signs of it being pollinated. but like you said it takes a long time for seeds to grow. last night and this morning I had a chance to look at the trichrome's really good. And it looks like the ones on the leaves even the sugar leaves are becoming 20 maybe 30% amber. But they do not look that way on the flowers themself. And I could swear I still see clear trichomes mixed in with the milky and Amber's. So should I be waiting on the trics on the flowers to be Amber as well. Though I have the toughest I'm looking through this loupe I have, but I'm trying to make it managed. I got one of those digital microscopes that was suggested by someone else, because like many products there so many copycats on Amazon. Though I had the end up sending it back it wouldn't work on my cell phone which was where I needed it to work or on my computer. And trying to find a better jewelers loop is about like the microscope situation or a lot of other products I look at there's so dang many of them. I apologize for not being present and taking so long to respond. But you know how life gets crazy busy sometimes. You guys are top-notch on here. Again. Many Thanks...

@whispererofweed

No worries! Glad you were able to work it out.. sounds like you'll have some nice smoke tho. Nothing wrong with a few clear resin heads IMO. They'll mature a bit more as well during the dry/cure so, you should be good to go. 🙂

@monkeydo

Lol yeah, of course we all know what we are referring to but, just thought I'd mention that. Same goes for 'strain' vs 'cultivar'.
