Hi, Does anybody know an early test or sign for HLV? It seems even from seed that more and more plants have the weak upside down umbrella trait of HLV. I know in the USA there are products commercial grows use but never seen a single product or recipee for anything to prevent or kill the virus. I know it spreads from tools etc and I know that alchol does not touch it but bleach does on tools. Any tips be greatly appreciate. Thanks.
@mattuk I don't think there is anything available to a home grower, but industrial testing exists for both tissue and seeds. The catch is it requires a large volume to be tested.
@mattuk real curious about this would love to see some pictures of the infected plant had a few friends up here in NYS get HLV in there hemp fields cost them a whole crop to figure it out. Testing from what they said is super expensive. And if your not chopping them down quarantine, quarantine the plants they couldn’t stress that enough.
Alcohol doesn't kill it? I've never heard of anything that could live through alcohol.
Be careful with bleach? It is corrosive on certain metals.
I tried to kill it with alcohol and it didn't work. I've heard that MyFloraDNA tests for HLV btw
@mythogenetics I imagine every breeder will be testing on a regular basis there stock is there gold as to speak & they would be horrified to lose it as has happened to some banks in the past

Short Answer maybe they don’t how much it’s spread atm.
think It’s causes duding slow growth,abnormal branching & lower yeilds
You could look at Physan 20, that stuff kills everything, it's not prejudice or 34% H2O2 will sterilize that shit out of most everything, if it doesn't eat it first.
