Hi everyone I'm going to be popping some seeds at the weekend just wanted some advice really
I'm going to soak them for 24 hours or so in a glass of water then I was going to put the into my soil straight away.
I have got ecothrive soil which I was going to mix about 60 40 with canna terra soil to dilute it a little does this sound OK or should I do this a different way thanks
I've taken to abrading the surface of seeds with a fine sand paper, just to bust the surface glaze of the seeds. Seems to help the water to penetrate and soften the outer casing. Not my idea, someone here suggested it 👍

@buster2704 I wouldn’t mix the ecothrive with anything shouldn’t need to mate. Use it with the biosys and you’ll be grand the plant will take from the soil what it needs when it needs it with the help of the microbes. Ecothrive have the balance just right, Mine were fine going straight into the soil👍

24 hours soak is a bit long, jsut a few hours is fine mate. Then plant them about a centimeter deep, cover with plastic cup and wait. they will pop

This is more for older seeds...fresh ones wont need this
@3plantspete would the soil not be too strong and shock the seedling with it having everything in already ? Thought it would burn it with all the nutes already in, it'll only be in a 1l pot to start it off so I'm not mixing the final pot with something else, thanks for the reply
@buster2704 it didn’t for mine they loved going straight in it. It does say on the box it should be suitable from seed. But if your concerned mix it , it wouldn’t do any harm mate 👊
