Hi all.
ive started germination on an orange sherbet auto seed. I did what I’ve done previously which ish 24hrs in a pint of water then into tissue until I got a sprout then placed it in my medium. It’s been in the soup for 3 days and it’s still not sprouted. Now this is my first auto but I’ve successfully completed 2 previous photo grows and they didn’t take as long to come out from the soil. I’m wondering if it’s the cold as my room has gone down to the 16 degrees Celsius sometimes. I currently don’t have my led light on but I have my humidifier keeping humidity at 60.
any help or advise would be appreciated
Perhaps just rough up the exterior a little carefully with some fine sandpaper, just to bust any glaze that might be stopping the water soaking into the seeds. Just a thought.
Temp could be a bit higher too I reckon.
Time to grow old disgracefully.
give it a couple more days mate, sometimes if you plant them too deep, they can take a bit longer to pop their heads out

Low temp will definitely slow down or stop growth, mid twenties and up a few degrees even and with a humidity dome (upside down plastic cup with a few holes) seems to work best for me (limited experience admitted)
18°C is about the lowest I've had...anything below this and I have issues with germination...they seem to like 22-25°C
All seeds are different though, seeds bred in colder climates will be ok with colder temps
@jetchester, Is your Orange Sherbet auto's from Fastbuds? My last Attempt was OS from FB and I had a very difficult time germinating them. First, all three germinated slowly, and two just stopped after germ and never moved again. upon investigation they where kinda brownish and unhealthy small tap root. Had to grem my other last two to complete my 3 that I needed. It's like pushin a mule up a ladder, they weren't easy. I really wanted to try that strain, big sativa. Then after 3 weeks thing were going good slowly, and a heater in my hydro rez shot craps and killed everything overnight. The End. I hope it works for you, be ready for big especially in hydro.
