I've been planning on doing a grow with some Auto Jack Herer at a family member's place in a legal state, but I don't want to burden them with nutrients, etc. I've been contemplating using Vic High's revised super soil mix. Do Autos do well in super soil? Will this be good to use throughout the entire lifecycle of the plant or should I use something else when it's a seedling? Here is the recipe.

1 Bale sunshine mix #2 or promix (3.8 cu ft)
8 cups Bone Meal - phosphorus source
4 cups Blood Meal - nitrogen source
1 1/3 cups Epsom salts - magnesium source
3-4 cups dolomite lime -calcium source & pH buffering
1 tsp fritted trace elements
4 cups kelp meal.
9kg (25 lbs) bag pure worm castings

- Mix thoroughly, moisten, and let sit 1-2 weeks before use.

Thanks

@weird_jimmy Living soil isn't really my wheelhouse, @temple grower or @twisted1 would be the best to ask, however one thing i do know is most soils you build are going to be a little full on for a seedling to start in and you really want to give an auto the best start possible for the grow. The easiest way round this problem is using the little jiffy cubes as a starter and planting them directly into the pot surrounded by the soil mix and let them reach out into it at their own pace. There are little mini grow bag style peat cubes that you can cut the base off the bag to allow the roots to grow through unhindered. another option would be starting them in a seed raising mix and potting them up once they have established a decent root zone.

I feel like a, like a slice of butter... melting on top of a big-ol' pile of flapjacks... yeah.

@weird_jimmy I like Vic Highs soil recipe. But as Bubblehok pointed out it can be a lil hot for seedlings. you could take a handful of the soil before anything is added to it and place it in the center of the pot to start the seedling, this will allow them to get stronger before they hit the hotter mix.

I would also have some fish emulsions or a 1-1-1 organic fertilizer on hand incase. some plants will go all the way to flower with out any needed additions  some may need a lil more.

Sativa to change the things I can, Indica to accept the things I can’t.
