Thought I would start a diary for a little bonsai project as everyone loved my last one cuttings are currently in a platnium 12 turbo cloner. Currently have some grow a/b, budlink and omegazyme at a ec of 0.8. Cloner is sitting on a cultiv8 heat mate which I have connected up to an inkbird thermostat state with a cheap 32watt ebay extraction system cuts where places in couple of days ago wont start a date until cuttings are planted. I try to swap the water out the cloner every 4-5 days to prevent any buildup or rooting problems and mist spray the clones twice a day until roots start to form

Cornucopia coco grow a/b, cornucopia coco bloom a/b, budlink, nitro-k, pk top up, omegazyme, humiboosta,sea essentials all hy-gen products
Day 6 for the rooted clones day 3 for the two unrooted clones will give the roots ones another day or two and get them ready for pots two will be getting gifted to friends as only need one my self unrooted ones will probably just get chucked in the fire pit
Three older clones were potted tonight with largest rooted plant being used for my bonsai. One of the spare clones is a gift for a new member of the forum, another is for a family member. The last one once it roots more will be put in a pot out side or kept incase the main bonsai doesnt do well. The bonsai has had a nice rock picked out for some exposed rooting, something I have wanted to try for a fair while now. I will start to remove soil probably around day 3-4 so it doesnt have to much top root growth. Smallest cutting was binned as expected but will call this day 0 of this grow.

@aadam6om6 cheer mate will be making sure I take lots of photos as I go and document every set hopefully it comes out good but always a good learning curve even if it has a few problems to work out along the way bonsai are always good fun to grow worth giving it a crack if you have a spare spot to chuck one I find the cloning tents are good but usually the lighting is an issue in flowering so thought it was time for the upgrade I’m keen to see what this ac infinity light bar kit can do
So decided to pull the outer cover off after letting the coco settle a bit held its shape well so I removed what I wanted to only grabbed the one photo as im not very well but wanted to keep this diary up to date hopefully over the next week or two ill be able to remove all the soil from around the rock could see some roots that had already tried to shoot more outward as to down ward
Once im happy the roots are far enough down I will also start to train the main stem will more than likely top it in the next few days
Decided to top her today and after a few waterings roots have started to become exposed plant still seem nice and happy. I have been starting on a second watering in the afternoon just to ensure shes still drinking plenty
Not to much to report on have just been keeping up with watering coco has slowly been coming away with each watering plant still seems happy and healthy alot more roots exposed now and starting to see sections of the rock
Have started too use a sprayer bottle to remove more soil from around the rock exposing alot more roots while keeping the lower section covered to help with root growth and keeping it alive did some lst today plant seems to still be happy and growing well
the spray bottle makes it alot easier to push the coco and pearlite out of the root system I will go over it in a few days with some tweezers and remove the pearlite I couldnt push out
Also thought I would share the spray bottle I use the 360 bottle makes it alot easier
Removed the two large shade leafs today hopefully she puts more of the energy into the new stuff has perked up quite well got a cool little idea once the two new branches get longer for now its just water remove soil each day and wait
Spent a good hour removing coco and pearlite from the root system this morning almost all gone used a small pair of tweezers and my handy dandy spray bottle really enjoying getting to remove coco and pearlite daily next time wont be adding pearlite to the top container just to make it easier
A little bit more lst for the girl today will be using her for some seeds along with her buddy in the pot next door

Not alot to report on for my bonsai on the rock just a little more lst starting to get a nice shape
my other bonsai ive kept hidden away has had half the plant sprayed with sts leading up to the lights being flipped over the next 4-5 days
Finally removed the wire from the rock lobster today and few of the large shade leafs removed her partner in crime also had a bit of a hair cut and another spray of sts both are looking happy have switched the lights to 12/12 and started to introduce them into their flowering nutrients
Had to tie her back down a bit today shes decided to stretch up pretty quickly so the bondage kit come back out
