@johncarlson21 I think it is about average. I chose what I thought were the five most vigorous seedlings and will likely get two out of five females. Why does it always seem that the healthiest, most vigorous plants turn out to be males?
@basssman7 usually for me the males always grow the fastest. They want to get up above those females to shake themselves over them 😎

Four weeks into flower, they look healthy and happy. One is quite large compared to the other, but both are happy and stacking really well.

@johncarlson21 I am jazzed to see how happy they are, with the leaves almost pointing straight up at the light. They are getting about 900 ppfd at the canopy level and are looking for more. Do you think it is too late to do a monster crop so I can keep the plant going?
@basssman7 I'm not sure on the monster crop to be honest.. but you could give it a try. 😎 and you could probably give her more on the PPM's

Update: 6 weeks into flower. all systems are go. One of the girls is getting badly outgrown by her sister but they both look and smell delicious. No signs of deficiency or toxicity. Cruising smoothly.
@johncarlson21 How many active grow diaries did you end up with out of this hunt? Did everyone who received seeds get growing?
@basssman7 I think I had counted 13, but 2 dropped... so not a bad amount, and the guy I got the Blue Dream seeds from grew out BD1 x SLH seeds and is creating F2s on his own and also crossing the male he grew with some other BD crosses he has.

Welcome to week 7.5 of ?? I want to take it down on the 20th as long as there are hopefully no clear trichomes. A lot of development in the 10 days since my last update. Everything is still healthy, I just mean the plant is maturing well. Check out the enlarged photo below, taken an hour ago with the one in my post above, which is perhaps even the same bud. @johncarlson21 This pheno (in the photo) seems to have some lovely purple in it, but my more petite girl does not.
@basssman7 wow man that looks awesome! Yours seems to maybe fit that closer to 8-9 week flower 🤔

@johncarlson21 Thank you. I have been a photographer for a long time, but I am learning the best ways to light and photograph trichome heavy plants. So far, it has been fun but I still have ideas for improvement. My goal is to make a name for myself in cannabis photography. (not that there is any money in it, lol)

They do not droop too much. I use constant lighting so they are getting light. If it were an issue I would start wrapping some wet paper towel around the bottom of the stem.@basssman7 how much time do you have after you take the cut before it starts to droop 🤔
Harvest Begins!
The smaller plant was taken down yesterday. The yield was not great, but the nugs were all nice and firm, even from lower branches.
Big Bertha will likely come down tomorrow. I am waiting on one more piece of photo equipment. @johncarlson21, you may wish to note that both girls have had a slight touch of PM over the last few days. There are just a few small, 1cm or so spots that I wiped with H2O2 and gave a thorough inspection. The tent has good ventilation and RH has been in the 40's, and I have never had PM on any plant in that tent (or any) in the past. At the very least, they are not PM resistant, although it would not be fair to say they are susceptible to it either.
The real fun (smoking aside) will be tonight or tomorrow when the pretty girl has her model shoot. John, have you thought of a name for this creation yet?

I did a thingy!
Here is the final pic of the big girl.
I spent a couple of hours in trim jail. The only PM was on the large fan leaves. I carefully inspected each bud, and they were fine. I usually dry trim with a bowl trimmer, but this time, I had to do a wet trim by hand so I could check each bud. They were big and firm, like hardball-sized at the top and golf ball-sized at the bottom. It has a nice lemon scent with a hint of gas. Damn, they were sticky mofos.
I am going to let them dry faster than usual because I want to get the moisture out quickly from the PM paranoia. There will be lots of time for a two-week cure and finishing before the deadline. I will post a proper summary with the dried weight and pictures, but man, what a trip this has been.
