So I've been a lot absent lately and I do apologise I've had a bit in the calender with the end of the year and an outdoor grow season from hell so I did this thing yeah and built myself a grow room complete with a purpose built RDWC.
To start with I wanted budget as fuck. The walls are made from particle board that was used to transport final drive bearing for earthmoving equipment so got them totally free of charge. With what I had I could build a 3x2.7mtr room with a celling and from there the entire room is wrapped in panda film and sealed with T-Rex tape and staples.
Ventilation is provided by 2x 6" inline fans with the standard dial speed vivosun as outlet and a spider farmer programmable inline as the intake and both are running carbon filters.
I'm currently using a 40ltr res as it's low enough for the return feed on the loop without cutting the res to fit the returns as I will eventually have to when I move the 80ltr in. The pump then feeds the 6 buckets via 19mm irrigation lines plumbed into the tops of the buckets, return is done by the 2" holes that go into a 4" step up for the return run to the res. The thought behind the increase in pipe sizing was to reduce the chances of the roots clogging up the lines. I've allowed 1.5" of reservoir in the bottoms of the buckets as a redundancy in case I loss a pump. This way I can maintain something and give myself some time to correct the problem.
So off to the lighting section and I'm still using the vivosun VS1000's I've just got 4 now to play with as well as 2x 600w MH.
It's been expensive so far trying to stay one step ahead of mother nature in the land of Aus and with this new growing door opening I'll be temporarily closing the door on the soil growing until I get a better understanding of soil.

@improper_weed_viking, looking good man, have you seen these spin on hubs? Their the cats ass. I used 3" on my RDWC and they still clog, but you can move the roots away. I use in-line filters before my pumps for protection and they tell and show you what's going on in your system, as long as their clean and clear your fine but if it looks like this, there's a problem.

@woodi2 that probably would have been the better option if I knew about them.... Oh well I can replace with those types of buckets later. I was thinking I was right with a 2" outlet but now you got me guessin lol man those pot stands are straight up grow room porn right there, love the timber.

@improper_weed_viking, 2" is fine, I use it before and it works. The spin on hubs can be added later with a hole saw, look at Under Current brand systems and they have the hubs and in-line filters and all kinds of ways to spend your money, that's what I took away from them. You be fine that's a solid system you have, with the water fall effect and the water lines are all uniform so you should have equal pressure at each site. 👍
That set up looks awesome. I was think of doing something like that in my tent but I don’t think I have the space or time to manage the hydro so I’m sticking to soil for now. I e done a bunch of hydroponics in the past but you really gotta stay on top of everything.
