Then just a generic fan and whatever inline fan and carbon filter fit that space and good to go?

~Pretty much mate yer.... a MArs Hydro, Gorilla, Secret Jardin, anything will do for a 60cm tent man. 4 Inch extraction with 4 inch carbon filter and youre all good to go Smile

@absolutebeginner

the TS1000 is for the price and space combination the best - there are a few lights that are more efficient

air out / filter should be ( 0,6x0,6x H ) x3 = m³/min x60 = m³/hr

Plants are like children - always surprising you.

Great, any preferences for fan and filters, or are they pretty generic? I take it pH monitors and hygrometers are only needed for larger grows? Friends who have grown have never used them. One last thing, the inline fan is to pull the old, humid air out of the tent via the filter to eradicate the smell and ideally out of a window but just back into the indoor room is acceptable?

pH meter will depend on what medium youre growing in. Soil, you might be able to do withoutit, hydro, you need one, hygrometers is a must too really so you can monitor temps

Better to vent away from the grow, outside is best. Other wise youre just recycling the air and the plants like fresh air

Thanks, bit confused about monitoring temperature, that whole process. Would be growing one autoflower plant in soil. Not sure about nutrients either or how often to water? Sadly would be growing in small bedroom but with no facility for vent to go out of a window.  Neighbours would notice.

Am getting there but still have holes in my understanding and knowledge of the whole process.

you wont need nuits for a while mate, the nuits will be in the soil. Start of in small pots and transplant as they get bigger and itll be 4-5 weeks before you really need to add any nuits, just water will be fine in most cases.

@absolutebeginner just wanted to add that in a 60 x 60 there are 2 different heights available from different manufacturers. One is 1.2m tall and the other is 1.6m tall (4 and 5 foot tall). Go for the 1.6 meter (5 feet) tall tent if possible, that extra foot in height is EXTREMELY valuable and you definitely won’t regret having that extra height.

+1 this advice, vertical space means alot when you have a smaller overall footprint, once you get your exhaust in and your lights hung you lose almost 2 feet straight out the gate.

I grow in a 5 foot tall [1.6m) space and decided to mount my extraction and filter externally to the tent to get that extra height available. It’s not as tidy looking but the space is definitely worth it to me.

Is there any tent in particular that is recommended? Some online reviews suggest that smaller tents can be awkward to assemble?

@absolutebeginner smaller tents like a 60x60cm I find easier to set up, it's the 4ftx8ft tent that I have to drag the fabric over the frame and struggle with for ten minutes that are more a problem for me. If you set up your poles inside the base of the fabric it makes it 100 times easier to manoeuvre the rest of the fabric onto the frame Smile

For my 60X60 setup I have the following g and it works amazingly.

AC infinity tent.

Viparspectre p1000

4inch inline fan

2 small clip on fans .

And that's it.  A 60x60 basically runs itself as Bubblehok eluded to. Smile

Hope it helps and good luck Smile
