Lots of posts on different grow sites have talked of tent walls sucking in, common problem. Here’s my simple fix to lower the input back pressure and help keep the temps down easier As well imo. Air tight light baffles with large input size....
This is the first one I built for my Cool Grows tent. It is made with a cardboard box, aluminium furnace tape, flat black paint, and some stick on Velcro. For all I know something like this is probably available in grow shops but there are none for at least a couple hundred miles. It’s made to mate up with the Velcro lower window on the tent.
it’s a S baffle that pretty much allows unrestricted input through the entire window volume and it traps light both ways.
The whole inside of the box is painted flat black to minimize light reflecting around. Views from all sides:

Output to tent with Velcro for attachment and a look into the box, can’t see any light on the other side.
The new tent had a nice big 6 inch vent hole so I’m using metal duct pieces for much the same effect. Since light can’t bend it’s a bunch of 90deg elbows at odd angles and once again painted flat black on the inside. To aid in durability and further stop light I taped the joints with aluminum furnace tape and to help keep out any critters I pulled a stocking across the input side like a screen.
This also works really well and while it cost a bit more to do it was super fast.
Some tents might still need reinforcements but easier air flow is always a good thing imo. Hoping someone has some other ideas or commercial products that work too and might share some other info that could benefit new growers.

@colacody 100% works to increase air flow for my tents and no light leaks. Wouldn’t consider running without something for big flow nowadays. Bigger tents could use multiple.

If it’s a sticky please let me write it better. It was just a spur of the moment thing. Originally I built this to aid in cooling, everything else was a happy accident.
