Hey guys. Another equipment question here. I'm looking for a 2x4 feet tent up to 6 feet high. I've looked at the Mars Hydro one for 189 CAD on Amazon and the vivosun for 119 CAD but the Mats hydro tent seems to be a bit better. The Mylar is better constructed and the Canvas is a bit tougher it seems. Let me know your thoughts or other brands you guys are using or if the Mars one is a good choice for the $$.

Do better, feel better.

@colacody My 4x4 tent is a vivosun tent the only thing I have issue with is my 6" fan is sucking it in and is causing the frame to slightly bend, I had to add braces to solve this issue.

construction wise compared to my smaller topolite tent the vivosun is made from a heavier material and is more sturdy.

I have no experience with marshydro tents yet.

@colacody I have a Cool Grows and a Vivosun tent and both are about the same. One thing I use to decide on tents is the number and location of access points for air, cords, ducts, etc. Those sometimes determine where the tent will set up best. As for the tent sucking in, I built an light damper to allow extremely low air back pressure to solve this. I’ll get some pics up. I hear from Growroom 420 that the Green Cube is a very sturdy tent also.

Gorilla. I have set mine up and broken it down several times. Nothing bends, and the zippers are tough as nails. I also find this super heavy duty tent much better on smell, and also hide the exhaust noise a little better if you put the blower inside the tent.

@colacody I have a mars and it’s new but has been up and down 2 times and it’s solid so far, the material is thick and zippers are brilliant not had 1 issue, but wish I had more roof poles as would come in handy for more things to hang. U get a floor tray with it as well which is handy when u spill things. Hope this helps your decision bro 🙂

Ya I've heard the issues with the tent collapsing from negative air pressure with the vivosun. I think its gonna be worth it to invest in the mars hydro one. Gorilla is just so expensive....but I know they hold their weight for the price....never hear anything bad about them. I think I'm shooting for mars

This is my tent, no problems so far. I got it pre-boxing day sale (under 100 CAD), one of the best times to shop on Amazon. It's my first tent so I'm no expert. https://www.amazon.ca/VIPARSPECTRA-Reflective-Hydroponic-Indoor-Growing/dp/B07T24GLC6?ref_=ast_slp_dp

We just smiled n waved sittn there on that sack o seeds

@colacody I’ll get a fix posted for the negative air pressure issue. Shopping now but all tents can benefit from easier air flow

@colacody Mars is so active on here I’m sure they support the products well. I’d go for the Mars!

Gorilla is def top end, but yeah, expensive. My 2x4 Vivosun that I've had for about a year, setup, taken down and set up again, now has a slight rip in the seam in the roof (poor sewing job). They work well in a pinch but long term, probably best to go for something sturdier.

Vivosun 2x4 seam ripped

I have some experience with the Fusion Hut brand, very high quality, and reasonably priced. And my own 4x4 is a Secret Jardin DS120, which I really love. I've no experience with Mars but, if the tents are as nice as the lights, I'm sure you'll be good to go there as well.

@templegrower ya I'm seeing a lot of issue with vivosun seeing mainly but some have had the tent poles collapse from the negative air pressure....better to just buy a nice one off the bat. I think Mars would be a good choice. Not over the top but seems like its manufactured well. Have to buy it and see!

Would not recommend vivosun, one I have is very poor quality. After setup spent hours sealing up light leaks. Almost every stitch is questionable, but was on the cheap end so...... won’t make that mistake again. Saving up for a gorilla tent now, pricey for sure. Just my 2 cents, maybe I got a lemon.
