Will feminized seeds give the same quality of plants, or is there an actual benefit to getting regular seeds, growing, and sexing them?

Although I have yet to look deeply to find deep research, my understanding is that Feminized seeds eliminate the possibility of getting male plants, with a small trade off (stresses to the plant can cause them to hermaphrodite, however this is true with all female plants no matter the origin of the seed). This means that the only thing that you're missing out on are the wonderful genetics of the male side of things (which most of us don't care for really unless you're breeding them).

One topic that pops up a lot around limitations of genetics is rather Clones Vs. Seeds, and less about Regular Vs. Feminized. This is mainly because germinating a variety of seeds theoretically gives you a greater possibility of finding great genetics within the strains "Gene Pool". In contrast, a clone is a genetic replica of the original plant that was germinated, which means you are only exploring the "Gene Pool" of that 1 seed rather than the 100s out there.

*To clarify, I don't have a preference to either method. Both are used for different goals Smile

The research I've done prity much told me what zombie said tbh, ,I've always lent toward s feminized personally so I dont worry about getting males but that's personal choice on my end:) it shouldt have too much effect on how the plant grows ect tho with either as far as I'm aware Smile

Lot of the time it's down to choice (or lack of it TBH)

say I go to my favourite seed bank and see what seeds are available, going to look over all the seeds and pick the best one for my needs ( really like mr nice seeds but they only do regular seeds) but also like greenhouse seeds "super lemon haze" only available in femized seeds.

most of it's down to the seed bank and strain

some are stable and others are not like critical mass mr nice seeds ( had a few hermie plants )

sensi seeds  skunk 1 (femized) very stable and it's very unlucky to hermie and it will take loads of stress.
