Hello and thanks for reading this. This is a auto flower at about day 55/70. Not sure if the discoloration is normal this far in. Growing in Coco and perlite with quick grow nutrients, 600 watt LED on 18 and 6 photoperiod. Flowers look and smell good to me... Any insight much appreciated.

I'd be worried by the spotty appearance, check underside of one of those spotty leaves with a loupe as it seems to be moving upwards...looks like possible spidermites to me 🙁

Agree with ZN ..or possibly thrip damage. Had similar looking before which was thrips on that occasion.

Got a mini-microscope? Or magnifier ? Remove a couple leaves carefully and check underside.
The spotting is caused by sap being sucked from underneath

Several solutions possible if so, though as your late in flower seems like damage will be minimal anyway.. but predator mites be your best bet to avoid spoiling the flower.

if you run separate veg area more options available for IPM.
Good luck bro

Time to pop some more beans 😗

If that is thrip damage, it's at a very late stage.. and may be difficult to control. If it is thrips, that is.. You can usually see them without magnification - they are small rod-shaped beige coloured little bugs that generally like to suck the juices out of the veins on the tops of the leaf. You could pull off a couple leaves and inspect them. Alternatively, if you get some white paper (or a white surface) and shake the plant over it, a lot of the bugs will fall out on to the surface where they can be more easily identified.

That said tho, it looks like The Borg (Spider Mites) to me from the mottling pattern of those bottom leaves. You haven't found any webs anywhere yet?

Hmmm I'll look, I've had spider mites before and I didn't see any webbing or damage like before when I had them. I'll check tonight. Thank-you very much everyone!

Btw I'm loving the podcasts!

Shitty deal.. I usually have some predatory mites (like this for example) in the tent to ensure no bad mites take hold, but to treat an already established problem... especially in flower is tougher. Don't wanna be spraying anything so.. either could ride it out if close to harvest, or try and introduce some predatory bugs if there is enough time for them to do their thing.. results are variable with them tho, obviously.. I don't have a ton of experience battling these bastards either so, hmm. Especially not using 'traditional' control methods..

Well I defoliated the worst 1/3 of the leaves, should be ok. I'll run safer soap on the rest of the leaves if it gets worse but for now I will hope for the best.

I wonder if there are some predators in my tent already because 3 other plants in there are in a supersoil mix and are not showing symptoms like my only plant in the Coco grow. I called the local grow shops and noone can get those predator mites till May 2021...

Pests usually attack the weaker more stressed plant first. The plant in coco got the first wave but unless you get control they will most likely devour the first and proceed with the buffet.
