Hi all, what do you guys use to deal with the increase in humidity after the lights go out? Do you have a gadget that increases the exhaust fan speed for this period? I have looked at inkbird is it? Do I really need to address this? particularly during late flower?? I do get a large increase but do not know how long this increase lasts or if it matters much...

I don't know about you but I'm have two dehuey in a 4x8 room. The big 1500 sq ft is vented with 6" pipe and a carbon filter at the end. That's the Homeline  or something and then the smaller 90 pt that isn't exhausted. My humidity can be 87% or a little higher, I have been battling this since they showed sex. Now it's down to 48-50%. You have to exhaust everything out of the build, Completely Outside, not just out of the room. You'll blow it out and you suck it right back in. Even in an attic, you will pressurize the attic and it will bleed back into your home and to your garden. Shut off all fans and start with just your exhaust on low (oscillating fans stay on) and just monitor whats happening. See what your RH is on the air that your pulling it, maybe a dehuey outside or in the basement would help. Defoliate also helps. I was pressurizing my room with two 4" fans hooked to the AC, but the house humidity that I was drawing was high, so they are now off but air is still being pulled through them by the 8" exhaust, So I slowed the flow of air enough so the dehuey can have a chance to do their thing. It's just another ball to juggle, and now my season outside is changing and so will the garden.  Oh Bother

my fan exhausts at the min outside, but still get a large increase, I have max and min on the temp humidity gauge I use but not sure how long the 90% max lasts for, not always that high, depends on grow stage. the min is fairly easy to control with the fan speed adjuster once light come on and all settles....

2 dehumids must cost a fortune to run and like you say you just suck dry air back in tent. I have a dehuey that you can set to a certain level but it still additional expense I would like to avoid and cannot set variable % of humidity during the 24hrs, which would be handy, I tried a timer on the dehumidy which was ok but if I dont need to or can remove excess humid by increasin fan speed based on humidity that may be better?? dunno?? Also, I am away sometimes and so set dehuey at 50% and it runs like that for the time I away...

Overthinkin stuff???

I seem to find problems with things the more I learn, when I knew nowt all was good, except it wasnt, and I seem to be looking for problems that maybe do not really exsist. I know my initial probs were not dependent on this...

should I just not worry and get on with it...

cause a vacuum, low amout of intake air, high amout of extraction = lower humidty

I don't use a intake fan for this reason.
