Hello everbody
I just harvested a little lady I grew on my back yard and this is what I found:

As you can see, some trichomes have purple stems. Has anyone seen this? Would it be safe to smoke?

I grew and auto, Fast Eddy CBD from RQS. I grew her using only my own compost. I wanted to play and experiment with my first grow outside and using my own compost. I told to myself, that if I get at least a gram of dry flower out of her, I would consider it a success. I got 12-13 grams of wet flower, so as per TG's rule (25%) I should get 2-3 grams of dry bud. So, success!

What you all think?

Very rare indeed. Happens on some cultivars I’m told ..... I’d definitely smoke it. Please give a smoke report, is it different or just more purple colors?

@monkeydo I'd grown this cultivar indoor before. This time I grew it outside and let her run untill a couple of daays ago and temps when as low as 12°C. I guess this is the reason for the purple colors.

I'll be back home in about 2 weeks, enough time for the buds to dry and I'll definitively give it a try and report back with the results.

Thanks for the feedback

@galandil see i thought i caught the odd glimpse myself , so i went all bofin lol, If it isn't glare of the camera , It could be down to a terpene or flavonoid , Anthocyanin , It can show as red , purple and blue , depending on ph , Will show in late flower due to  absence of chlorophyll , and i read there is proof to link enhanced Anthocyanin production in cold climates , would imagine its in most purple strains ,

These are from my outdoor weeding cake. Not a thing wrong with purple tricomes. I kind of think they maybe clear and just reflecting the colour around them.

I have had dark purple ripples on buds before.  My mentor said "she must have got a little cold".  This makes sense to me as I've only seen it on my outdoor crops and the night temps have been less than 10C on some occasions.

I have 1 outside right now with the same purple ripples on some of the smaller buds.  Will have to take a sample and put it under the microscope to see the trics.  Very interesting stuff 🌱💚

Looks all clear to me but not the best microscope.  Purple trics 🤔 will have to check these when they are a bit more mature.

Very cool man, let us know how she smokes @galandil @phil
