Hello Percy's
Interested in what y'all do with your trimmings.
Do you keep them, store them, use them for anything?
I don't wanna waste any part of my gal. ❤️

I collect them till I get about 50-60 grams and then process them into either edibles or do an ethanol extraction for oil. Works well for both.

Yep, save it and use for edibles/extractions. I usually donate mine to a lady who makes oil with it and then gives it out to needy patients. 👍

@monkeydo Oh, okay, is that for all of the trimmings you take from the start to the end? I thought it would only be trimmings from Flowered that would have any real content.

I always forget a relevant point. So, I should have said, all trimmings, from first to last. Not sure on content of the early trim etc.
Looks like all parts can be made use of, which is great. ❤️ 🌹

Ahh, gotcha. Some people like to use the fan leaves from pruning in juices/salads, and I've also heard of using the roots to make some sort of tea.. not sure about the medicinal effects of that stuff though as there are generally very few capitiate-stalked trichomes (the glands with the cannabinoids we are after) on fan leaves, and none at all on the roots (obviously, lol). Stems can be used to infuse teas and stuff too but again, not much for cannabinoid concentration on them, compared to sugar leaf or bud.

Not to say there isn't some value to it but, I just don't know!

I remove all the large fan leaves  and let them dry out then i add them to my soil bin to decompose for future grows, after the big fans are gone  all the rest of the trimmings and real small buds go into a gallon ziplock bag in the freezer until im ready to make oil or butter.the stems and roots also go into my soil bin. but i have heard that they are useful for teas and juices as TG pointed out.

Okay, cool, thanks for all the info, man, it's interesting to hear what people do with our little green friend, just didn't want to waste anything.
More canna education...good stuff. Are the (proper) trimmings kept in the fridge or freezer? I remember ZN telling me which it was but I've forgotten (again, sorry Zombie ).
Have ya ever tried to find a post you wanna see on here again, TG? It's like going into a Labyrinth ...never to be seen again .

@alij68 it depends on your wants/desire. When I defol or chop a plant totally, the regular fan leaves go to either salad or compost, whatever I’m in the mood for. There is a small amount of THC in all the plant so in theory you can make concentrate from every part. I only use the actual trim from a dry trim (sugar leaf and bud crumbs) to make oil and edibles. You can make extracts from other parts if you want to but it is usually very weak or takes an awful lot to create really effective extracts from fan leaves or stems.

Lots of great tips, personally roots tend to be more alkaline so they would work better in a balm (I don`t use them and use trim instead). stem/twigs add a nice flavour if your into making home made teas (your fave stems with some Chamomile and fresh mint) . The fan leaves if young, juice nice but older tend to be more woody and are best for the compost. Recently been putting all the trimmings and popcorn buds into bubblehash or extracts.

@monkeydo Good to know. I just want to utilise all that I can of the plant...and once I know what I'm doing, would like to do something like TG said, helping people who need /appreciate it.
Never seen a fan leaf in a salad and I know I gotta try that. Ha
