Questions Fox Farms Ocean Forest
This is a good soil to start growing cannabis? I am new at this, and am going to grow two or three plants.
@hbunting welcome to Percys. Glad you are here. There can be a lot to learn if you are new to growing but don't let that intimidate you. There are loads of helpful people around here to answer questions like this one when they come up. Its always good to welcome another soil grower.
In short, yes, you can grow in FFOF as its known, but be aware that it does not have enough nutrition to get you through. If you are new, what I suggest is you pick up the Fox Farm basic line of nutrients and follow their feeding schedule (but start at HALF strength), else your plants will run out of steam around the time they go into flower (give or take, depending on the strain and size of pot). Several around here use these products and get good results. Just keep in mind that these bottled and bagged products are designed to keep you purchasing.
If you have an other questions, just ask and someone will help out in short order. Again, welcome!

Thank you for that. I really appreciate the help as seats are expensive and I don't want to blow it. Now that it's legal to grow here I don't want to keep purchasing from the dispensaries. Only thing I've heard bad about ocean forest was that it can burn the new seedlings. Not sure what to do about that but I will let you guys know how it goes. Thanks again
Not sure what to do about that

I popped my first sprouted seed directly into FF soil with good success, but I've been told it's dangerous as the soil is too strong for little seedlings. Most start in a peat or coco pellet and transplant when bigger.
And I had to guess around when the soil nutrients were gone. Four weeks more or less I think, so start adding nutes to the water around then, and as already said, super low doses.
