Be gentle with the plants, your just pulling the shoots down a little, like this

20201009 191649

look at the way canopy is lower in the middle and higher on outside, so it kind of cups the bulb.

your current shape will do the opposite ( so half the light will be wasted)

@new-at-this

very nice job there mate Thumbs Up

Try and keep the ends of the shoots still facing up ( they bounce back quicker), all the small side shoot will start to grow vertical.

@jacks_farm

Thanks man.

Think I'll start a lot sooner with the lst next grow as the shoots weren't as supple as I hoped. Bit of a bugger! Lol.

I've upped the nutes as well like you and @zn said. 3/4 ml of Bloom and same with the grow in 2 litre bottles.

I've also spotted a purple stripe down my stem of the one I showed you mate but the other 2 are fine. Dont know what I've done wrong as they have all had the same nutes and water amount from the start.

so it kind of cups the bulb

Very little if any cupping is needed with led panels. They are flat and wide and radiate from the entire panel instead of only the center bulb.

Could be a hot spot in the soil, would not worry if its mild, but would keep an eye on it.

where you pull the shoots down can cause small area of the shoots to turn light purple.

flower too late

most growers get this wrong and keep doing this for years.

your plants look good and you want the whole flower full of buds so you get a large  crop

could even drop a net over the top in a weeks time

I use a watering can and forced 1ft of hose pipe on the end so I can water all the plants without knocking or getting the lower canopy wet

your right and I have been looking into the leds and asking the local grow shops, the best setup for my local weather and room size seams to be a 750w de hellion, wide setting with a super spreader and a light rail, could get the light 9" above the canopy and it would cover a 2m x 0.75 with ease.

and its ment to give me a much thicker canopy of buds

so still on the fence about this.

both lights sound amazing.

Weird that you mentioned a scrog net mate lol. Was looking at a few earlier and I might just get one. I'm doing it 100% next grow so might as well kill 2 birds and all that.

I'll keep an eye on the stem mate, tried to get a photo of it but my phone had low battery and wouldn't take it lol.

Will try and get one up for you to look at mate. It could be needing more nutes which I've just started giving more today so maybe fix itself.

Great minds think a like Thumbs Up

getting a screen over the canopy and giving the shoots all the support the need will really help.

a roll of 2" plasic mesh and a pack of bamboo from the local garden center would do the job (check bamboo for damp and bugs )

Hi all

Managed to get a photo of the purple stripe on the stem of one of my plants. The other 2 are fine not  a blemish on them.

@new-at-this

it's very minor mate and its saying you have some nitrogen deficiencies, it's not a problem at this stage.

Cool mate I'll keep an eye on it.

As I said have upped the nutes now so hopefully see some positive changes in the next few days.

Hi all.

Little update.

20201027 163658
20201027 163829
20201027 163728

I've ordered a scrog net to be delivered this week too. It's getting a bit crowded in there so I need it to flatten out the top. Got it from my local hydro shop. It hooks onto my tent supports so should be easy to set up.

looks great I would lollipop the bottom 4-5" above the pots ( don't want the leaves on the soil as this will get soaked when you water and encourage bugs and mold).

if you have lots of smaller shoots at the base of the plant, I would cut them off, try and increase the amout of air flow into the lower canopy and this will give the larger shoots more energy

The small lower shoots will result in popcorn buds late in flower
