So I'm trying to make a space in the basement to house a 2x4 tent. My issue is the exhaust. It is beside a bathroom and there is an exhaust fan that vents to outside which is IDEAL to take advantage of for the exhaust for the tent. Problem- how do I go about routing it to the vent without butchering the house...because I have to go through the wall to get into the bathroom and then into the ceiling to tap into the bathroom fan. ANY IDEAS would help and maybe together with our stoned minds we can figure this out. I have some pics to try and get the idea of how the bathroom is built

If you remove the vent in the bathroom, you might be lucky and find the timber joists run inline with the room you are trying to use, if so, just pull some ducting from one side to the next and connect that...
If not, without making alterations, it will be difficult
@zn I'm gonna get the fan off and see what I'm working with. I can dry wall and stuff but ...its gonna be a bitch lol. If not I can make a hole through the wall and then into the ceiling in the bathroom but would rather it look pretty and professional. I'll get that fan off today

What kind of lights are you using?
@ned I have an sp250 to go there which is an LED

@colacody in that case, just vent out of the tent, no need to get the air outside. The LEDs produce so little heat it’s crazy. Btw how big is the tent? Edit I see it’s 2x4. No need to go outside. You’ll need a carbon filter but you’ll need one of those anyway. There is a blower on Amazon that has a controller for temp and humidity. Then the fan would only come on when needed and keep your environment very constant. Perfect for a nice compact setup. Just my opinion of course.
@ned the one I'm looking at is the 6inch a/c infinity. I'll look into having it go out the front with a filter. Would be a lot easier than having to chop the wall and ceiling lol

@ned now the carbon filter how necessary is it for the filter to be there.....smell isn't a huge concern
Do better, feel better.
@colacody the carbon filter is there to help remove most of the odor from the grow. It’s not absolutely necessary if smell isn’t a concern but some strains can certainly stink up a house. Plants can grow totally fine without it, it’s more for us humans.
