Grow Diaries 1st Grow Diary
@dbwoodcraft the plant looks fantastic bro , the odd leaf I wouldnt sweat , but soil grows bro if you have time and want to learn go find twisteds diary's and temples , you will learn so much and , they are fantastic reference points , there's gold in all diary's, but soil those guys always, look for that guy really close to your conditions as possible helps too as we are all on different continents , and that gets misunderstood and not taken into factor , myself and monkey both coco , we do feed the same ect I know we do without asking lol but he has extreme heat ect I'm in wales mate always pissing down here so that has an effect even indoors
Do I need to be adding Nitrogen?
I read somewhere that adding used ground coffee & wood ash helps.
I pulled off 2 leaves like in pic
yes you can add these as a mulch to the bed .. they will slowly release some N and K which all your plants with enjoy..
once you see flowers set i would be tempted to give some liquid feed like a tomato food would be fine..
in honesty i am concerned for all outdoor plants this year... summer has been shit and i fear the plants wont have time to finish unless we get an extremely good september and october (unlikely id say)
by now they should be setting flower so they can finish before the frosts come but i dont see happening this year!! very sorry to say!
hopefully yours and others can do their thing and finish in time but dont be too surprised if not ... i'm not an outdoor weed grower typically but its the worst year for tomatoes outdoors i can remember in the last decade
good luck bro
and i agree with the above comment... your garden is awesome from the bit i can see in the pic... you have an eye for gardening as well as craft skills galore bro
cant wait to see more of your work /p>
Time to pop some more beans 😗
@dbwoodcraft you can plop some banana peals and coffee grinds in a bowl of water for a few days then use it a a feed for your plant 👍🏼 You may benefit from a small metal frame plastic greenhouse, you can pick them up in various sizes in diy stores quite cheap.
Recent pics of my (not so) little baby.
She's standing approximately 6ft tall now and staring to get quite a bit stronger.
The aromatic herbs & other plants I have planted to mask the smell do not seem to be working. Masking Plants include ; Lavender, Marjoram, Thyme, Basil, Mint and a few others. I may have to use incense sticks or buy in bulk air fresheners and leave them around the garden. Creepy neighbours don't help the situation.
Or I may have to build a wall or two Trump-style!!!
With a little bit of paranoia setting in, I am considering, somehow, to finish her off indoors but I don't think this is possible as I need to sort out an indoor tent & set-up, which will cost a few quid that I just don't have right now.
So, hopefully I won't panic and do something stupid like culling her. I want to see this through for a number of reasons 1, I like to finish what I start, 2, I like a challenge, 3, I'm enjoying the whole process aka gardening - it's therapeutic, 4, I love weed (also therapeutic).
She is approximately in her 16th week of life and I'm hoping & waiting for the flowering stage to kick in.
I added some coffee grounds at the base last week but none since as recommended by yourselves for some added Nitrogen and I'm watering her once a day (or sometimes more).
Keeping the fingers crossed for Mother Nature to do her thing. 💚🌱🤞
@dbwoodcraft Wow!! Would you look at the size of her, it's massive she looks like she's in her element there so pretty 👌
That's a great idea with you're masking plants and the incence sticks I also thought about that I think it will be a good idea!! I hope you can mask the smell and keep her outdoors it will be alot easier at this stage 100% and she's so happy there!! Maybe some of those outdoor insect candles you could burn outside they may also help🤔sending you lots of luck and if i think of any ideas il text you😊

@dbwoodcraft I grow indoors, but the wife will put dynamic lifter which is a pelletised chicken manure along the side of the house where grow room is.
This puts a bit of a smell down the side near neighbours to help mask any smells
She has started to pre-flower. I have to admit I was excited to see it.
Some of the leaves have gone yellow. I'm not sure why tbh. It was suggested to me that it could be over watered by I haven't actually been watering her too much and it hasn't rained a lot either.
I'm not too worried about it - I trimmed a few of them off & see where we go from there.
Omg bro that first shoot is so photogenic looks gorgeous 😍

@pirate33 thanks. I'll look it up. The farmers have helped a lot with spreading manure and I also have some Leylandii trees freshly cut at the side.
Leylandii trees stink like fuck! So all good so far.
