Hey everyone gonna make this post for a few questions and will show the result of the plant before and after the drastic change

So im forced to cut of the electricity and use outdoor for the grow, my concerns are I'm currently on a 12/12 cycle but opposite of the sun cycle... how do i go about changing the light schedule to be suitable for outside, should I reduce/increase a couple of hours at a time?

atm, its on from 18:00pm to 07:00 am so it will need a big switch up for outside grow, do I just change it all in 1 day so it is quicker to recover? or gradually 1-2 hrs each day till im on same cycle as sun?

another issue.. How do I go about controlling the temp? I feel like it's gunna be way too cold outside in UK. do I start getting in a routine and store them inside during the night to maintain a reasonable temp? even during the day sun is not gonna pump enough heat.. what could i do to help reduce frostbite?

It's not long since I changed my light cycle from day to night to try and save some money, I used to switch my light off at 6pm and on at 6am.

When I was thinking about changing it originally I was planning on doing it slowly over a week and move it from being on from 6am - 6pm  something like 8am - 8pm the first day, then 10am - 10pm the 2nd day etc

But I forgot and switched the light back on at 6am the first morning instead of leaving it off untill 8am 😆  so I just left it on untill 10am ish and I said Fuck it and switched it off again and switched it on again at 6pm.

So I ended up doing it in one day, apart from the light being on 4hrs  in the morning.

I havn't seen any problems yet after doing it but at a guess I would imagine it would be better doing it over time just to make things less stressful on the plant.

Hi mate

I grow veg outside and bring inside to flower. When I bring the plants inside , I move them a night so no nosey neighbours need see and then the next day at 6 pm I start the flower cycle

Unless you have a heated greenhouse with supplement lighting , I don't grow outside Oct to April as its to cold and dark

I have no issues with the flip

Hope thar helps

Cheers for the input! Its a tough one to pick as makes sense it recover quicker if you change the cycle in 1 day rather than 1 hr each day for 12 days, but then maybe that reduces any stress that occurs at all, but I think they're gonna be suffering regardless so i might try to change it in 1 day, I just can't afford to run the lights anymore indoors its 300% increase in electric for me now,

Its a shame gonna be cold and dark like you say, so no matter what happens they stressing. sucks as was potentially gonna be my best plant yet :L but i had rushed these girls and had planted there seeds in the same pot while my previous grow was in the flowering stage as i knew this be my last grow for awhile so on a rush. only 2 decent plants and 3 little ones. will just take the hit 🙁 and hope for the best.

I was trying to look up cannabis plant coats for the winter lol but seems like they restrict a lot of the light and already going be to dark 🙁 there was some heat packs they recommended you put inside the coat but they only last 3 days :L £4 a pop, without the coat the packs gunna be useless. don't suppose anyone tried them coats for outdoor grows??
