Last night the weather report said a low of 3°C, when I woke up and looked out the window my thermometer said 0°C but according to my family it hit -2°C last night. So it was pretty frosty. I`ve been through a couple cold nights like that before without worry but trying some new strains this year and everyone made it fine except my chili peppers .. lol.  Are there any strains you think would not survive a night like that?  These are the Alaska Purple aka Alaskan thunder fuck, and Gozilla Zkittlez.

I couldnt survive outside on a night like that lol. The plant might survive those temps, but it wont be growing. I dont think any strain will be growing at 0c

From this site... Outdoor Cannabis Grow Tips

Frosty mornings = frosty nugs. Allowing your plants to experience a light frost can enhance the final look of the flower and increase cannabinoid levels and yields.

Frost can bring out colours like purples and reds and causes the plant to increase cannabinoid production by making it think it’s dying.

The plant will drive energy into protecting its non-existent seed and by default produce more cannabinoid content in the plant. (Kurt Fisher, Production Supervisor)

We just smiled n waved sittn there on that sack o seeds

@macky

I hoping to just put a little age on them, no more growth.

@zn

I read that about frisian dew as well and grew one plant. It did not clone well for me and was the first to show bud rot, too early compared to any other strain I had. As far as pests and powdery mildew it was great.

@Phil you can grow some FAT girls man.  Wow. Those are in the ground?

Also I heard green crack is a pretty resilient outdoor strain.

Do better, feel better.

@colacody

thanks.  In the ground, but I will admitt to mixing in some compost then adding a thin larger of soil before the seedling.
