Man that's awesome congrats. I've done cucumbers & tomato's before. Cuc's are stuuuupid easy, tomatos were insanely tough. I think you chose some good low maitenance crops though 👍

One of my tents gets flowers going every February for outdoor planting in March. We don’t do much vegetables these days but if the flower beds aren’t in bloom Monkey isn’t a happy camper. I can get a little depressed when all my containers are empty and there’s no blooms anywhere. There’s several varieties of flowers that can muster even our coldest winter and there’s usually something in the pots blooming year round.
Fruit trees are where it’s at for me as far as edible landscaping goes. Lots can grow in this subtropical environment and harvest season feels so good.

@monkeydo definitely with you there! I love my flowers and have always kept quite a few at any home I've lived in. Don't have many blooming yet but here is my pot with all of my butterfly flower mix and my Lavender from last year going wild right now!

@shonuff can’t say I’ve ever seen that growing around here. I checked out some info on it and apparently it’s too warm here to become naturalized but can be grown as an annual. That’s good because it also warned that it spreads very quickly. Says cold hardy to zone 5 so maybe a winter planting would work. Something to think about.

@monkeydo 7a planting zone in my area. We shall see how they do, so far they have taken off faster than everything else!
