Okay, so it's not exactly a guerrilla grow, it's just basically at the back of my garden, but I wondering what the optimum popping and planting out dates would be for somewhere in deepest, darkest East Anglia UK

Any ideas ?

If you just did Autos that take about 12 weeks and started now you would get two grows in this year, I wouldn't go with photoperiod or regulars in UK outdoors, you would be waiting until October/November to harvest I think

@toploader as soon as the risk of frost has gone get em out, get em started on a windowsill if you can. Like jsh says you might get two crops of autos before the autum/winter comes. I’ve got 2 photos and an auto just popped on my windowsill gonna do a couple more autos at later points then they aren’t flowering all at once, if they get to that stage. You do run the risk of bud rot growing the photos as it will be Oct/nov before harvest they also could get pretty big too. But you are in east Anglian food growing capital of England decent weather, decent soil give it ago mate its all fun and a great learning curve and as long as there is no risk to yourself. Also chicken wire round em deer and rabbits love cannabis plants, good luck brother 👊

If your plan is for ten years, plant trees.

Ok, sounds like good advice chaps. I think risk of frost is normally gone by mid May, though even then you've got to be vigilant. So it sounds like roundabout now is the right time to sow. I'll go through my seeds later and see what autos I've got 👍

So I've had a look through my seed box. Turns out I don't have as many autos as I thought. In particular I don't have any White Widow, they were photos.

The auto selection Ì have are as follows-

RQS Northern Lights

RQS Solomatic (CBD)

RQS Royal  Critical

Dutch Passion Cinderella Jack

Fast Buds Wedding Cheesecake

Greenhouse Seed Co Green o'matic

The Cinderella I want to keep for an indoor grow, so too the Solomatic. Read somewhere the Royal Critical likes a bit of Mold. So by default I'm left with -

RQS Northern Lights

FB Wedding Cheesecake and

GSCo Green o'matic

Anyone grown these, particularly the two latter ?

Good call mate. Two of the plants I'm growing at mine the other two at my son's. His will be outdoors in containers, amongst his tomatoes. Mine will be straight in the ground, so slug protection will be a must.

Obviously I'll do a diary on each for everyones "amusement" 😂

@toploader if your going straight into the earth I'd recommend a slug collar, they'd have to climb a sharp overhang, which is basically impossible for them ans plus they catch rain nicely.

Any thoughs on strain?

Any smell concerns?

Slug collar might be a good idea too mate. Hopefully the chickens will help keep them down also.

Think we'll have a Northern Lights each and I'll give him first pick of the Wedding Cheesecake or the Green o'Matic .

Not expecting any problems with smell at mine, though he will have to be a bit more careful
