Temps are getting to be an issue at night in my tent in the new shed.
14.7c was the lowest so far, I raised my light and cranked it to 70% instead of 30%
That gave me 18.4c last night but that's still cold.
Looking into heating, but worried about safety as its at the end of my garden and would be unattended till morning.

Hey @Discobiscuitt, I got a oil heater from amazon. It's made by Manistay, I don't know if it available where you are. I liked the low, med, high settings that it has. The high setting is 1200 watts and the med is 900 watts. That's where I keep it at for me. That way my inkbird that is controlling it doesn't burn up. But if your in a shed you may need something more. I would still look into the oil heaters over other ones imo. Like the base board ones maybe. I sure you got the place insulated to the hilt too. Let's hear what you get worked out and what temps you are dealing with. 🙂 Good luck man.
@discobiscuitt I would say the oil filled radiator is the best to go for, I had one to start with, then I bought a tube heater, but found out they are pretty useless.
I have my tube heater in by veg cupboard (my jars of weed stay in there now), it's ok for a small cupboard but no use for heating a tent or anything really.
The last oil radiator I bought was off ebay, think it was only about £20ish 😉

@discobiscuitt i grow in a shed well more of an out house. I've found the tube heater as already mentioned is only good for heating a small space. Im using a convector heaternow. Last year i had a convector heater in my flower tent (65x120x140) which works perfectly fine and a tube in the veg tent (60x60x140) which worked but in the depths of winter I'd put a blow heater on too keep myself warm whilst having a smoke😝.
This year I'm going to heat the whole shed to save myself running upto 3 heaters. The convector heater work a dream as it has a thermostat on it so you can dial it in to keep the temp in the sweet spot.
@discobiscuitt I use both tube and a small oil filled one and have done for 2 years with no problems I have stuck bubble wrap everywhere as well, but gonna insulated it properly this winter. If I get enough time. I’ve also got the tent up on a pallet with foam in between the gaps as to make sure the floors a bit warmer ✌️

Biggest problem I’ve found is your exchanging the air so regularly, your only have it heated and it’s gone out the extractor.
ie/ if your drawing in air from outside at 10*C, heaters and insulation will help but you’ll always be fighting the cold air.
Gonna try pipe my intake this winter and pop a tube heater in the pipe someway, hopefully warm the air coming in a bit, either that or I might try draw fresh air from inside the house rather than outside
edit to add : I’m using a Solea foldable heater which is great for tight spaces as takes up no room, heats instant but loses the heat pretty quick too, oil filled rad seems to be the general consensus if you have the space
