Having flushed my 2 plants for 4 days I decided to cut both yesterday. They are now hanging I'm my grow room. I am having a major panic attack thinking both plants have seeded.
Plant 1 had early issues in flower re purple stems dark green foliage, I was advised it could be an issue re PK.The plant seemed OK but by end of flower the stems were pretty much all purple and the bud growth was not great especially in comparison to my other plant 2. I posted images of this and from responses I assumed over last couple weeks seeds developed on that plant.
Plant 2. This plant was looking great....at least it seemed so but having cut this down I am looking at the buds and am panicking because I think this has also seeded!!! I would appreciate if someone could take a look at the 5 images of plant 2 and tell me if it has been seeded also. I am hoping not but if it has is there anything I can do about it? Is it usable? ...inhave not put any images of plant 1 as I don't want to complicate the posting. I will put another post with images of plant 1. Any help very much appreciated. Some images I used flash some without.
These are images taken of plant 1. 2 taken using flash 2 without
@revolution007 I am probably not the guy to give you a definitive answer since I have not produced seeds, so I will tag @Monkeydo or let someone else who has produced seeds chime in here. From where I am standing, and it is hard to say for sure without very close-up photos, it looks to me like she has hermied, or started to produce flowers of the male sex. Some strains are infamous for doing this, especially if they have less than optimum flowering conditions.
Anyone else want to jump in here with your thoughts?

I don’t see anything in the photos to guarantee the status either way. At this point there’s not much to do but either trash the entire run (I wouldn’t do it myself) or continue and see what happens. Seeded weed isn’t the end of the world. Believe it or not, back in the day that’s all you could get. Just let her finish as normal and pick out any seeds when you grind the weed. You’ll be fine

@monkeydo ...if they have seeded, given the plants are cut and have been hung to dry, it sounds like nothing really can be done and the only option is to finish the drying process, go thru curing.....and see what comes of it?
I am struggling with the whole 'seeding thing'. I am not sure what I am looking for. Have edited 2 photos and ringed what I think look like seeds.....but I don't know what the seeds are supposed to look like. If it has seeded does that affect the quality and or quantity of terpenes and ultimately affecting the end product? Thx to all.
Seeded buds look differently depending on how mature the seeds are inside the bud. When fully mature, you can sometimes see the seeds peeking out. It’s impossible to tell right now with these pics, but like Monkey said, if you have seeds, you just pick them out when you grind. Not ideal, but not the end of the world.
Personally, I think the buds look like they were in the process of hermy-ing, and given your earlier comments about deficiencies, that makes it even more likely. Just go for a 10 day slow dry and see what you’ve got.

like Sparky said, fully mature seeds can be seen in the bud. These were intentionally seeded and the seeds were fully mature. If you’re concerned but unsure about the seeds, take something sharp and pop one of the suspected seeds out for inspection. Like I said before, nothing you can do about it so don’t waste your time worrying about it. The weed will still be smokable either way.

Hi all....thanks to all for taking the time to respond. I will do as suggested re slowing down the dry time and see what results that gives. I am trying to keep dry room temp to approx 20 degrees and humidity between 45-55 as suggested in one of the grow guides. Keeping temp down to 20 is not easy with current ambient temps. I have no ac so will just have to go with it.
What is now clear.to menis that i need to understand alot more about seeding, hermies, I need to be able to recognise and address the symptoms earlier whatever they are.
Thanks again
