Quick question - I’m approaching harvest (thinking maybe this weekend) plant is fading, starting to see more and more amber and she’s approaching where I like to chop - however I’ve noticed new pistils being pushed out.

Is this a sign of anything or just a natural part of the lifecycle. Is it a sign I need to wait a bit or will it not really affect the harvest?

I’ve added a couple of pics for reference

@ru25co This happened on my last harvest as well. I was also confused and a little worried about it, but I went by the appearance of the trichomes over the pistils. If your trichomes look ripe, I would chop personally. While Im not certain, I predict new white pistils, or pistils that do not turn brown at the end stages of the plants life cycle might be due to a number of issues such as environment, stress, over feeding, etc.

There is nothing to worry about, keep your schedule, and harvest when you think it is ready.

@type1grower great that’s the reassurance I needed! I’ll ignore them and watch the trichomes

@ru25co they will technically turn brown as the plant dries... my guess is heat or too much light intensity are the main culprits.

@ru25co Iv had the same happen and I was putting it down to me having the light too close and too bright at the end of flower. But I think light and heat stress can make them throw out new pistils.

@stootie this sounds plausible - she’s grown bigger than I intended and is quite close to the light - and the grow space gets quite warm!
