Only found this because @grumpas got it to the recent posts😅 yesterday i tried dry sifting for the first time with some old dry material... It kind of worked but i always get super confused what screen material to keep, which one to toss away and all that.... Does anyone have a super good guide, written or video guide that explains just the basics? I watched a lot of videos already but those basic steps are not always explained very clearly. Thanks

@mr-buddster I've been looking for the same kid of videos, it seems to be a bit of a desert for those out there. Probably because making bubble hash is so much more popular (and in some ways better). Basically I found that using around a 150 screen is the main one and then using static (I haven't figured this out yet...but I will) to clean the green out. There actually are screening set on Amazon (maybe Ebay?) that should work well for relatively small amounts of biomass. Just start with the top one, being careful not to put too much pressure when moving the mass around, then go on to the next lower one. Light pressure helps prevent the plant matter from breaking up too much and just knocks the trichome heads off. Or so I understand anyway.
What to keep...seems that if it's green, it goes!
P.S. Just looked up the set I have "Saved For Later" on Ebay, the sizes are 120/160/220. I also just remembered seeing a post by Frenchy Cannoli on another forum that said he only used 190 and 160 for this but preferred to wash because it tends to get more of just the trichome heads and not the stalks. He said he sees the heads as being the fruit and the stalk is the small branch it hangs on. Great analogy for visualizing what you're trying to accomplish.
