Off Topic Thank you, for more than you'll ever know

Hey guys, Leo here. Thought i'd post a quick message. I just wanted to let you know that I have joined your Patrons page. I have never supported anybody on Patron before but I have been so grateful to you all for the podcasts that I thought I'd show my appreciation. Heres a little bit about how you helped me!

So, back in August i was made redundant. It was very sudden and all happened very quickly. I have a family and a mortgage so as you can imagine the pressure quickly began to mount up. My wonderful partner works from home three days a week but her wage was quickly used up. I worked in the entertainment industry so there was no end of the tunnel in site and jobs were few and far between.

I managed to get some cash in hand work, it kept the wolves from the door but the hours i was having to work meant the work/life balance caused the stress to pile up and i soon felt like i had nowhere else to turn, I felt like, as the man of the house i was failing my family and ruining our future plans.

At my lowest point I left home in my car one night and just drove off... I had no idea where i was going or what i was doing to be honest, i just felt like I was no no longer needed, what was the point in me?

It was around this time, on my crazy long work commutes that id started downloading podcasts, I listened to Jordan River and heard you guys on his show, i started downloading your podcasts.

The evening that i just drove off, i'd put the bluetooth on in my car, for some unknown reason your podcast just started playing, it had never done that before. As i listened to your session you all made me smile, i laughed at your conversations, and felt a bond to you all that i missed from my old smoking buddies. I sparked up a single spliff and sat in my car, smoking and listening to you, by the end of the spliff i felt like a new man.

I decided there and then I would change my mindset and actively search out work, no more moping around feeling sorry myself.

Two weeks later, i had a temporary contract working for a great company, who have now offered me a full time position.

I download your podcast every week and it keeps me company on my missions through the London Blackwall tunnel. I still smile and laugh at the radio, although i dont think I'll ever guess that noise!

You will have my unwavering support for as long as i can manage, I feel it's the least i can do.
