Ok everyone, time for some critical analysis of the show.
The show has grown so much, and we have quickly become one of the biggest cannabis podcast online! I feel as if it is time to step up our game, polish up the show and push it to the next level.
We have discussed it amongst the panel, and we have some ideas on how we are going to move forward. But we need some input from you guys. This is our plan:
We want to reduce the amount of sections we have in the show, so we can keep the best sections, and do them in more detail. We want to remove, Movie Club, Strain of the Week, WTF, Truth or spoof, Tangent420 and stoner quotes. Then have instead;
Intro
News and Events
Grow of the Week ( we show off a grow from percys and explain how it was grown, setup, strain feed, flowering time and all that)
Grow Guides ( Season 2, we start from the beginning and make our way through everything to do with growing)
Interview: Our usual interview section but may be extended to 40 mins depending on the interview.
After Party: From here we will chill and take away the structure for the rest of the show. Here we can do old sections like WTF< truth or spoof and strain of the week if we wanted to, so they will be random events, rather than every week.
We feel as if this will give us more time to talk about the sections, but not worry about going over the show time. We preferably want to keep the show under 2 hours! So we will go through the meat of the show, and whatever time we have left on the end, will pretty much be a higher on home grown section. When the 2 hours are up, the show will end, but on some occasions we will continue the show with "the after math" ( but we will go into that when we get there 😉 )
What do you all think of this? It is important for our listeners to be involved in this decision, as we make the show for you!! And we want it to be everything you want. I get the impression people enjoy listening to us talk and have banter, but they also enjoy the information we put across too, so we have to find the right balance of both.

What you're suggesting is exactly what I'd like. Keeping in grow guides and interviews and brilliant idea about discussing the grow from start to finish as woolie says above you don't need structure the chemistry between you all is what keeps us coming back. There's nothing wrong with the show now but it must be difficult to do the same thing each week with out repeating stuff just have fun off the cuff that's when I think the show shines hope this helps
@woolieback chemistry is really a valuable component but we are looking a lot more long term now. Who would have thought that 5 amateur stoners could do this, not me lol. Honest feedback is all we want. Don’t be shy, when we ask questions like this we know not all feedback will be grand but to improve we need to know these things, especially the bits of the show you don’t care for. We gauge some of our plans by the activity in chat during the show. It’s a reasonable indicator but very incomplete. Audience feedback is always welcome for HOHG, just like here at Percy’s, everyone’s voice is valuable to us. Any feedback can be good feedback.

@macky That all sounds pretty much perfect to me, but saying that I would still listen to the show even if you guys were speaking about wallpaper reviews. Its such a laugh listening to all of you, the info is all good too and the feeling of friendship that radiates from the chat is why I listen. It makes me feel part of something, like im being allowed to hang out with the cool kids

yes, only for the reason of overall time though, you can’t shorten the show without losing some sections.. this is where the after party comes into its own.. genius!

Ive really enjoyed the show since I found it and it led me to Percys ...
I think the suggested new format sounds great as it still offers the same as the current format but in a more clever way ...
I’m guessing an hour to 90 mins is what most people would consider the amount of time they’d be happy committing to .. much longer I think put non-hardcore viewers off possibly

I only have one issue and that is with having to setup a new email account to join in the you tube chat if I wanted to go by moglo .
Other than that I love it all and the show length is perfect for walking the dog and other jobs of that effect.
