Hi. Question... I'm running a two plant RDWC system. I'm growing a pair of feminized White Widow from seed. One of them is growing insane. While the other one has a deficiency of some sort and I cannot figure out what. Even though my system is recirculating, why does one plant exhibit a deficiency while the other one is flawless? Is it simply a difference in phenotypes?
The sick plant on the left is so much smaller. You can see the lime colored veins on it as well. All leaves exhibit this deficiency. Therefore it is an immobile deficiency. I've foliar sprayed calmag for almost 2 weeks without any success.
Is that one getting the same amount of air bubbles?
They are hooked up to the same air pump. And airline tubes are the same length. However, I will swap the lines to see if it makes a difference. Thanks!
They are at the stage where a spray with some epsom salts will do them good mate. Just 1 teaspoon of epsom slats to 3 litres of water and lightly spray the plants with a mister spray. Raise the lights when you do this though, just to prevent the plant from being burned.
Update: I switched the airline on the buckets. New growth continues to emerge, but still with the deficiency.
I've also foliar sprayed with Calmag, without any success. If I've done Calmag, do I still need to apply Epsom salts?
I've also been foliar spraying with Green Planet micro nutrients. Also no difference.
Anyone have any other suggestions? Otherwise I will cut my losses with this one plant and remove it. I'll let the other plant cover the SCROG on its own. My only worry with this is that the feminized seed did not successfully feminize. I don't want the healthy plant to turn out to be a male!
Thanks for all your advice so far guys!
I’m stumped. The airflow was my best guess.
I appreciate your guys advice. I will cut my losses with this one plant, and keep my fingers crossed the other one is female... it was a feminized seed so it should be.
