Hello peeps im Dobbin , just been listening to the podcast today so thought id say hello . Ive never grown anything ever , but having spent 14 yrs in the army i allways apply the rule of PROPER PRIOR PLANNING AND PREPORATION PREVENTS A PISS POOR PERFORANCE . sorry about the spelling its been a long day sweating me nads off , need to grow my own because my wife suffers from MS or Fybromyalgia cant get a proper answer from the NHS or doctor at the mo .because of the covid crap . The doctors put her on some nasty shit that was messing with her head and personality then she vaped some weed which she had smoked in the past and boom having spent the previous two months not doing anything apart from sit on the sofa . She then cleaned the house from top to bottom . she as since redecorated the front room all by her self . so buying the weed is as you know is hit and miss . my aim is to find two strains one for the day so she can function about the house and one to help her sleep at night , shes a teaching assistant in a college helping students with special needs and she is shit hot at her job because she as a 16yrs old son with autism . so far ive bought two marshydro sp 3000 and a load of seeds need to sort a tent and everthing else yet . I DONT SMOKE myself but do take cbd oil for my joint pain the legal stuff without the THC. so i will be after advice and wanted to share my progress with some people cant wait to get going but need to clear some room in the garage before i can get cracking . so im going to be the complete noob with all the gear and no idea . so again hello .

Welcome to Percys man, sorry to hear this shit about your wife man! But cannabis can be a great help! Shame the NHS are still fucking people around with these poisonous pills when there is lots of evidence to show cannabis does a better job for these conditions.

Our members will read the posts and answer questions and offer advice along the way. Most new growers that do this have much higher success rates in their grows.

Hey Dobbin, welcome man. I just got here too, after hearing their podcast at Growcast. I came, checked it out and felt extremely welcomed from the very first visit. Percys has for me an awesome vibe. I love how mixed and diverse the backgrounds are here.
I have a similar situation to yours. A couple of years ago we were pretty desperate with how our kid's treatment was going nowhere or worse yet, it felt like constantly hitting a wall. At first I was very sceptical of Cannabis. I grew up convinced and terrified, that I would hit a joint once, and I would end up all addicted to all kinds of drugs. I remember I feared what could happen to me. But then I started finding more and more information about the medicinal use of it and long story short, now I grow medicine for me and my family, and never going back. I would like to warn you, that you try to set realistic expectations. Because in our case Cannabis hasn't worked as well as we hoped for regarding the direct treatment of the illness, but it has been a huge and I mean a HUGE improvement in quality of life for my kid and through him for us.

@dobbin Hey Dobbin, you've come to the right place for the best support and advice with your Grow...I'm a noob too and half of my grow is for my daughter who has Fibro and other pain related issues.
If you check out "Top Medical Strains" on The Vault, you will see that Fibro isn't listed, but plenty are listed for MS and they have very similar symptoms so will be good choices for your wife.
The lack of proper effective treatment for Fibro in the UK is a disgrace, it is a fully disabling condition with no current cure and very few options for treatment. America has far more going on for Fibro.

@Dobbin, I have a friend who is care giver for his mom, she suffers from fybromyalgia. They've had good results with Northern Lights #5. And Northern Lights is an easy variety to grow, so good for beginners.
