I go by the alias "Bogleg" here and there - it's from a very old online game (1990) and is essentially a typo for "Boggle" - and that does a pretty good job of summing me up.
I am an intermediate grower in my own estimation and have been growing for 5 years now. I am primarily a hydroponic grower and routinely run an ebb and flow system and different DWC grows. That being said, I do also plant an outdoor grow every year - sometimes just one or two plants, sometimes up to the 12 ones the state allows.
Indoors I run a pair of 4x4 tents powered with ChilLED Growcraft X6 fixtures. One tent is dedicated as an "ebb and flower" tent and is intended to be used for SOG-style flower runs. The other tent gets used however I feel like it in the moment, but is intended to be a veg/mother tent. I also have a 2x2 tent I use for clones and breeding.
I am only at tinker-level when it comes to breeding. I have gotten as far as an F2 and am going through the process of finding something worth breeding among the F2 seeds. It's a long process. I'm still pheno hunting two F1s I produced (Cindy 99 x Alien Fruitcake and Crystal Blue x Alien Fruitcake).
I'm a bit of a data nerd and have created spreadsheets for things like determining if my garden is producing a return on my investment into it and calculating NPK and PPMs automagically by just inputting the amount of nutrients I want to use.
Speaking of nutrients, I use JR Peters nutrients and follow a feeding schedule similar to Jacks 3-2-1.
I previously frequented another forum that is shutting down at the end of the year, hence me arriving here at Percy's. I have extended an invite to the other people from the forum I have been frequenting, so hopefully there will be a bunch of new, friendly faces around here.
I've started a thread in the hydroponic grow diaries forum - please stop on by if you'd like to see what I have going on. I tend to do dumb experiments and fail a lot. I also tend to forget how I solved a problem in the past and have to relearn the same solution all over again. This is why I find a grow forum to be invaluable, and I hope to both receive and provide value from and to you all.

Well - I have my moments, let's say. Inside the tent things usually look pretty good. Outside the tent... well let's just say Hoarders might be able to an episode.

Is there such a thing as a "dumb" experiment? and the more you fail the more potential for you to learn and grow. I say failure is only a failure if you aren't willing to learn from it.
